Really detailed comparison. I'm sold on Notion. One thing I've seen several people do is make tables over bullet lists. Why the preference?

The tables allow the user to see more information at a glance, since information is presented horizontally. Of course, this works for certain applications only. For example, maybe storying class notes can have a row for each lecture, and cells in the table for class name, class date, topic covered, etc.

Well done and clearly presented with one exception, it was too fast. I had to continually stop the video to “try” (unsuccessfully) to view your setups etc. But generally, very good.

I tried notion previously but didn’t quite understand it. It’s so powerful exactly what I’ve been looking for. The one issue that put me off was trying to copy and paste from it to say a word doc, how is that done? More notion vids please?

Copying and pasting isn't always the cleanest because of how they do things like 'blocks' and hyperlinks. I usually copy and paste to a text editor like Notes first before pasting elsewhere. But yeah, I'll definitely make more vids!

Great video. Thanks for making it concise. It was a little too fast for me so slowed it down to 75% 😆 One thing that Notion doesn't have is the ability to search across notebooks. What I mean is you have one notebook Harshi, if suppose you had multiple, such as Office, Personal, a notebook for each client etc (instead of having all the stuff under the same notebook), if I wanted to search for a term across notebooks, there's no way to do that. That was a big deal-breaker for me. Thanks again

Man I've been spending my life with hating school, depression, computer games, learning for exams, got my B.Sc. and am stuck without a job and just like most introvert Europeans nobody ever took us by the hand and told us: be free, reach for your dreams, do what you love. Our school and parents somehow suppressed that. We're late and crippled. Then I see you and Thomas Frank, Linus, etc. who are producing videos for 10+ years and wonder: what's so different from foreign countries to Germany that we never learn how to be extrovert and courageous like you? Really, my humblest respect for that great video quality! I totally appreatiate that.

Hi! I'm around my mid-twenties, but I'm definitely an introvert, even if it seems otherwise on camera. I don't know much about how Europe differs, but I was blessed with supportive parents and schools that helped me cultivate my interests. But, also watching KZbin has given me a lot of inspiration to pursue my dreams. When I've felt uninspired or suppressed by external factors in the past, I've always told myself that at the end of the day, I need to take control of my future without seeking the approval or even permission of others. I've been looking for an alternative to Trello which I like but need more. Asana is too hard and ClickUp is good but I haven't gotten the hang of it yet. I'd heard of Notion but thought it was just for taking notes. Then I found your video and I'm like WOW'ed by what Notion can do. And it seems you can do a lot on the Free plan too. Great video, although I have to intervene here: Trello does have a MAC app (I've been using it for over a year), as well as iOS and android apps, also "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" because I find Trello beautiful even in some aspects more than Notion (Notion seems as if designed by some one at Microsoft with a little better taste) but Notion does way more than Trello so that's why I'll give it a chance (and it has educator plan).

Don’t know why everyone is unhappy about the video leading with 2020. One has to make lemonade if life gives you lemons. I am exercising two hours a day and lost 16 pounds. I can walk up 8 flights of stairs without panting. Connected with friends from 30 years ago. For most, nothing to connect. For other friends, great to catch up. I learned to cook new items. I can make sugar free chocolate at home. Shaved my head, grew my beard and had fun in general. Lighten up and watch cats chase lights videos.
