Great insight into the use of paddles on this car, great pops and bangs love the sound of the engine on kick down. I was so tempted this morning coming back from swimming but I behaved. only done 150 mile so far. I noticed this morning that in the bottom left hand corner of my wind screen from the outside there is also the signature of the guy who built the engine nice touch I thought. Ps Adam thought I would mention that your speedo was on display at around 4.22 in a 60 just wondering?. Thanks for the video👍

Are you using the brake when down shifting

Not always, sometimes depends on how fast I'm going and how early I shift down the gears. i use engine braking with the paddles where I can :)

How much are you using the brake over engine braking, or are you mainly using engine brake and not the main brake?

Hey Paul, I’d say an equal mix here. I tend to let the gears assist with a bit of braking rather than full blown engine braking.

Just checked my engine was built by Timo Wilhelm and the signature on the windscreen is appears to be G Daimley will have to google who this is😊 Just googled it and it looks like it's Gottlieb Daimler engineer and inventor

Ah yep! The signature on the windscreen is on all Mercedes as Daimler. The AMG engine one is unique though since the engine is hand built by one master engineer :)

@@ABAUTOAMG Thanks for the reply Adam. I’ve been following F1 since the early 70’s and now I’m a huge Lewis fan. I’ve been following Lewis since his first race in Australia 2007. Love your CLA 45S, and you have motivated me to put that on my future to buy list. I live in Colorado and I currently own a 2021 C300 with the AMG body package. The sound of the CLA 45S is intoxicating and I would have a huge smile on my face every time I drove it! Keep those videos coming! TEAM LH.
