Awesome video Sandy! I recently did this scrappy technique for a book cover. My 4 year old grandson wanted to “play” so I gave him scraps to glue on paper. He had so much fun and was so proud of his masterpiece 😊

That's in interesting thing. A drawstring bag for your bread. We don't do this, well, maybe we should! I love this idea. I just might be the only one in the supermarket with a fancy bread carrier. No plastic bag for my bread to get home in anymore! Thanks for this Sandy. Happy Christmas and New Year from one of your Aussie viewers.

I've bought exactly this fabric you have shown for the backside! That's funny. At our local marketplaces, this fabric is available in different colours and more or less similar patterns. Thanks for the video.

I dont own a sewing machine but this would be a great way to start or make it into a slow stitching project.
@seweasybysandy4 күн бұрын
Absolutely! There's something about slow stitching that enhances the whole experience. Yes it takes more time, but you also get to enjoy the small details more. 😀

I love the way you do the scraps, but not so keen on the "veil". I saw another video where she used tulle netting, which made the fabrics and colors much more visible, but I didn't like the way she did the scrap layer (literally just dumping handfuls of scraps down then covering it with tulle). I think I will do one using your beautiful scrap method, and the tulle veil over to make the scrap layer more visible. Great video, thanks 😊

How do the top layers of scrap glue down when you press them?
@seweasybysandy11 күн бұрын
The top layers stay in place one I quilt. And I used my glue pen to keep them where I want them before quilting. 😊

What are you using for your veil fabric? Is it muslin? love this idea ❤
@seweasybysandy19 күн бұрын
It's an old curtain I had lying around. Not sure what it's made if but it doesn't melt with the iron, so I'm happy with it. Hehe

IF this bread wrap needs to breathe, will the melty layer act like plastic sheet and defeat the breathing quality?
@seweasybysandy12 күн бұрын
Because there's room between the fabric layers it's fine. If the fabric in direct contact with the bread had it, it wouldn't work because it would essentially be a plastic bag. Have a great day!

Don’t throw away your scraps, even keep the off cut cotton threads and use them for stuffing toys or jointed bears.
