If you are on a budget you can use Google earth for the scouting aspect, it's not good for anything else hunting related like the blood tracking of this app and other useful features but it can get you in the right place and likely where onxhunt gets their images. I use it to track game trails and cover on my own property here in Texas, the birds eye view reveals far more than what we see at ground level. I also used it a lot when I lived in Florida to find gator holes deep in the state forests that could never be found otherwise, that was for photography. It can also be great for hunting hogs as well because you can see areas where they do a lot of rooting and trails that go through thick brush that deer can't use. The app has a lot of extra stuff that's great for hunting, but if you need to save money Google earth is great for prescouting a area.

You have to remeber tho, the further you go in the further you have to drag a deer out, and that is a workload :D

And that's exactly why I try to get deeper than anyone else! No one wants to put in the effort to get further in, and therefore the hunting opportunities increase dramatically when you get 3/4-1 mile from the nearest parking lot.

@@averagejackarchery i hear that, i live and hunt in east texas. my problem here is we have wild hogs over running the counties and they destroy farmlands and woods even and run the creeks and rivers. they are eating alot of the vegetation and food the deer eat. i don't think you have to worry about it there, but if they ever try to use poison feed to take out a nuisance tell them hell no, cause it effects the other wildlife cause they eat too, and then we eat them you know what i mean, arkanasas was using poionous feed to get rid of the wild hogs and its no good at all. but your right the mature bucks are smart and will learn to avoid people and trails and go into deep woods, unless its the rut season

It's very close if not exact. Definitely allows you to get to the area where you might see obvious lines of difference at the least. Things like corner posts, posted signs, painted markings, etc.

It's only as accurate as the GPS in your phone which may vary from one area to another. Apps like this are good for general information but they're not always updated and they are not accurate down to the foot. Surveyors don't use cell phones when they lay out property lines.
