To be fair, this was a bit too much for my poor brains to proces. I think I understood one could use it to automate things in a DAW like Pro Tools, am I right? If so, I would use it for quick punch ins to record solos and other stuff and use the other knobs to select other functions that aren't easy to do with your hands while your holding a guitar and playing it. But I don't know if you can these things. I'm sorry, this is annoying. I used to be good at things like this until I had a brain bleed 6 years ago. It's hard and sometimes even undoable to grasp these things nowadays.

Thanks for making the video of the XSonic AirStep. I'm currently using the Postive Grid BT-4 Bluetooth MIDI controller. I like the way it works, but desired more functions to control when I use my JamUp Pro app on my iPhone or iPad. The XSonic AirStep looks like something that I would like to upgrade to for more control over my JamUp Pro guitar presets/expression controller/tuner that I use for personal practice or home studio use or possibly my live guitar rig with tube amp head/cab or combo amp with digital effects rack incorporated into my pedal board.

I could definitely see how this would be really useful during a live stream or during a pedal demo, switching between shots on the fly.

Great review, RJ! Unfortunately, the switches are too noisy for a talking livestream. Everyone gets the trick earing that bugging click... Aside that, it’s an awesome product.

Can it be used to order food? A) tacos B) burger C) chinese D) pizza E) indian ... just saying. Great video RJ! Especially when you break down how you're using it during the live streams. Cheers

I want one now. I didnt know these existed. Years and years ago i bought the Behringer FCB1010 to use with my DAW and modeling software, but i was never able to figure it out and get it to work. (It was the older model before they upgraded their chip.) Is the Airstep easy to program in your experience? (I know u have a walkthrough in the video, but just curious if u had any problems setting it up when u first got it or not) I would love to use one for 2 use cases. Controlling software like Guitar Rig 6 and Amplitube 5 and also a simple clip record and stop in Ableton Live to use as a looper.

Uno firmware helps with the FCB1010, but it is still a beast. This is quite tempting to augment, if not replace my Uno1010.

I would like to control all my Aputure lights. I wonder if I could use the lite version for that.
@DiffusionaudioInc3 жыл бұрын
it isn't clear without owning an Apurture light whether the Sidus app accepts key commands over bluetooth but it appears that Luminair3 would do this. Xsonic allows one to dowmload the Airstep app prior to purchase. It would be then possible to check if the Airstep can send the required key commands
