I'm Korean and I apply my makeup the "k-beauty style" and I thought the first layer of foundation you applied following your old routine was GORGEOUS! It had that very natural coverage, just enough to even out the skin tone and also had a really nice glow! really shows how different techniques are perceived differently in different cultures and trends :)

i remember watching this video in my room with headphones in because i was so scared that one of my family member would catch me watching it because clearly i wasn’t out and was scared for them to find out. But as I’d go on watching you and other you tubers, the urge to do makeup and be who i truly was meant to be got to much to handle i finally said fuck it, came out and started my makeup career. It’s crazy because i didn’t start doing makeup seriously till January of 2017 but I’d been watching your makeup tutorials years before along with other makeup artists. To be fair, you really can't see the eye look in the right side. I have hooded eyes and I've had to figure out how to do my eyeshadow so it doesn't feel like it's constantly hidden. I don't do it as blown out at Nikkie because she's super into the bright, extra, unnatural makeup, but watching Nikkie has helped me figure out techniques for myself

I agree. It’s as if the new look is shadow with an eye in the middle, the eye itself almost an afterthought. Whereas in the old look, the eye is the centre of attention with some shadow built around it as opposed to obliterating it.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that thought that! I think it's the lash what makes the big difference, but you can definitely appreciate the look a lot better on the new side, but her actual eye stands out more on the old side
