Just received a rejection email from my dream firm after getting through the initial application and video interview only to fail following the assessment centre. I'm absolutely gutted and feel so numb after reading the email. I worked so hard - literally took days off work to prepare and worked my arse off researching the firm, making a note of my competencies, trying to gain commercial awareness etc. Never grafted SO hard for one job in my life and I just feel awful. Currently numb but I expect the tears will come soon. Needed this video today so thank you for speaking so candidly about your experience with rejection. I have a feedback session on the 28th July which I'm hoping will provide me with some direction when I eventually muster the energy and motivation to try again Xx

I can’t stress enough how important this video has been for me! After nearly completing this cycle with no vac scheme or TC yet, this has really altered my approach to the whole situation and instead pushed me to focus on the positives like making the reserves list for an ac instead of dwelling on the rejections. Hiya Maria, I'll definitely keep this suggestion in mind, thank you! In terms of why a firm should pick you, think about your top qualities. What do family / friends usually praise about you? What are you proud of about yourself? Then link that to why it would be specifically useful to the firm you're applying to.
