As a video creator, its hard to walk the line between creating content that people want to see and what you are interested in creating. A few years ago my channel was definitely planner focused, because that was what I was into, and now I have different interests. I do try to make sure to keep up my DIYs and I have some planner content scheduled for this year, but I guess as I've grown, my channel has taken a different direction and I think thats natural!

I LOVE my planners but I always find it so difficult to pick just one to use. I really like the idea of using one as a planner and one as a journal. I now have my personal Malden Filofax as a planner, my pink A5 Boston Filofax as a meal planner and recipe book, my compact raspberry Pennybridge Filofax as my money envelope planner, my A4 black Finsbury as my home planner AND now my cute paperchase planner as my next journal. :) I really love getting inspiration from your videos - thanks!

+Natalie McArthur I think using multiple planners is fine so long as you have a specific use for them and don't get them confused. If you feel all over, thats probably a warning sign that you need to switch up your system and streamline them perhaps!

I am making planners for two of my friends for Christmas. I am making everything myself. With custom inserts that are just for them and their life. I used the clear silhouette sticker paper to make icon and cut them with my silhouette cameo. They are not stickers like yours they are icons for monthly view to remember appointments and when bills are due. I love to see how everyone is using their planners and see if anything they are doing might be useful for me. I am thinking about making a baby planner for my SIL. Her son is coming any day and there is a lot to track for all the doctor visits and shots. I have to say I hope you are so proud of yourself. You have inspired me to step out. I have always felt that my designs are not as good as other people's. But thanks to you I am making them anyway. If people don't like them they can look elsewhere. BTW I am not selling anything I don't have a shop. I don't want anyone to think I would try to post things for sale when you sell awesome stuff. I am using a mulberry pop planner which is a coil bound as well. I've never used a coil bound before this as I was a ring bound girl but this year I'm moving to the coil to keep my whole year together. I love my washi tape. I have them wound around some old cards and they are so useful for my work planner and just marking off stuff.

+J.E. Crowe Great question! I'm going to have to say no to be safe! I'm sure there is a way to make it work, however, my inserts aren't designed for booklet style printing so I wouldn't buy the inserts with the intent of putting them in a travelers notebook.

I totally get you on your choice of black ink on optic white paper. Although I love bright colors, I couldn't get used to the variety packs of pens and markers. Typically I vacillate between Fine Point Black Flair and Black Staedtler. Wish they'd put the qualities I like in those markers into glam pens like my Swarovski gold and sparkle ball point.

For the planner you customized, can you easily add, remove or replace pages in the spiral planner? I am looking into purchasing a planner, but I really think I need one that I can add pages to. So quick question. I'm a leftie and I haven't used a paper mate flair in forever because I seem to remember the ink smearing bad for lefties and/or the ink bleeding if wet. What do you think? I loved this video!

+Amy Hackbarth Yes it can smear for sure if your hand is moist, happens to me on occasion and I'm a righty, but not so often that it has become problematic. If you're a leftie, perhaps its not the best pen for you, but they are relatively inexpensive and you can pick them up at target and give them a try if you want that solid black ink look!

I've added an Expense pg. at the back of ea. month to track leakage/impulse spending to monitor how I destroy my efforts to manage $$$. Carry total over to following month. 2016 is expected t be a ghastly financial year

+Hon Min Definitely track your spending and perhaps you can even take a finance class or read a book on managing personal expenses if thats not something your naturally good at. If you prioritize solving the problem, you can break the bad spending habit- I believe in you!!

I'm planning to continue using my Filofax system that I'm ending the year with. In love with my Maldens! My only problem is figuring out how to use them efficiently. I work full time in a 9-5 retail job. I have 2 days off (Sun & Tues) and I spend one of them generally doing my errands--cuz I don't drive and have to take the bus. So usually my Tuesday is full of to-dos but the rest of the week is blank. Not sure how to make it work for me quite yet.

summerstar143 I work the same hours every week: M,W,F 9-530, Th 9-6 and Sat 10-5. The only time that changes (and not all the time) is when there's a holiday. Like tomorrow I only work until 3 cuz it's Christmas Eve. So, no...even when I get early, it's useless cuz I can't go anywhere. Just trying to figure out how to use my planner outside of just for when I can run errands on my one possible day. Cuz then I have one day with info on it, and the rest of the week is blank.

+Britteny Williams I'd say a good place to stay figuring it all out is by just using your planner for what you need. I think a lot of people try to fit their whole life in a planner but if you don't need a planner to organize your whole life, it's not necessary. If you have a steady schedule for work you don't need your planner to remind you that you are working, so perhaps try daily undated pages for those days off where you can schedule out your errands and perhaps some housework or even self care/entertainment (painting your nails or catching up on your favorite tv show or youtube videos!)

I still use my A5 Fluoro pink as my 43 folders organization system for bills and such but nothing has changed with that and I don't consider that part of my planning and organization system since its a glorified filing cabinet haha
