You could always do thm on different days, or blend the two every day. I likr a soft-goth inspired style and the boho style both!! I combine them or dress however I feel each day. Sports luxe yesterday, boho glam today in flowy tops and layers, tomorrow maybe black and red gothic inspo look. Rock it how you feel it, and get cheap stuff from supermarkets and cheap shops. I get conpliments on my on sale supermarket xxxl shirt that I wear belted over tops like a robe. If you're in USA, there are lots of thrift stores there 🙂

@@gi5235 I can’t tell you how many times teachers told me the same thing while I was in school. I always heard negative comments regarding my hair and tattoos and how my character would be questioned. When I did start working I had very dark blue hair and slowly I began to change colors. I was lucky to find a boss that didn’t care about my hair 😂and the people around me loved it! Including students and patients. They found it fun, especially seniors. Of course you still get the negative people but what I’ve told my boss is that my hair shouldn’t project my professionalism. Especially if I do my job correctly . I tend to dislike how hair colors and tattoos are still viewed as taboo in professions.

If you do your job well, you're friendly, and you do what you're supposed to, expressing yourself shouldn't be limited. I hate that stigma that's been painted in the medical field. I think as young adults we have to understand they want the best for us and when we are under their protection, care and roof, we respect their rules...always knowing that one day when we are responsible for ourselves, we can make whatever decisions we want :)

I told my mom this!!! How Mesoamericans were proud of their tattoos, septum piercings and stretched ears. It was the Christian Spanish colonizers that deemed this as "demonic" and to this day, Latinos STILL think that. It's crazy!

I definitely had an emo phase. Thankfully my parents were chill about it. My mom even cut my hair so I could have scene curly hair. But unfortunately lip piercings were a "hell no." You decorate it and hang up art. A home is empty and cold until you put life into and hang up art work and make it ornate. Art in temples and churches can show a story. I like to think of tattoos in the same way of hanging up paintings in your home, both are beautiful.

those vest pockets would be great for my snacks. I considered myself more "alternative" so I could change back and forth between being emo, punk and skater. I felt that it blanketed those styles and I could be all of them instead of just one definite one. Needless to say my parents weren't too happy and a tad confused but they tried to understand and support me. Even would go out and buy me things that I would like.

I'm loving it Penny 😍 I dressed close to this in highschool through my early twenties. Then I had bills to pay and couldn't afford to maintain my style as I gained weight. Your personality and bright light still shines out, even through the dark makeup.

It makes me sad that you can't Express yourself as you really want! Seeing your face light up melted my heart! I dealt with the same thing growing up but once I moved out, I got my tattoos and piercing, chopped my hair off and I've never been happier! My parents came around and stopped saying stupid things like "you're gonna ruin your face".
