Starting with Kenya. That walkway would have been swarming with street traders, cheap goods laid out all over the sidewalks, leaving pedestrians hardly any room to walk. And tonnes of trash thereafter.

@Solo yes it's kinyarwanda, English and French in that order. even if you'll find more people speaking English than french, most aren't very fluent and you'll never miss a french speaker around. also, french is very deep rooted and even people who don't speak french can easily understand you when you say words like "Deux cents" etc. Kiswahili is only an official language because Rwanda is part of the EAC and it's more spoken at Tanzania and DRC border towns.

Although the switch to english was just to choose a new western reference, it is not really used as you declaring it as official is not enough to promote it in an everyday life. The fact that France was implicated in the war around 1994 might no be stranger to the official decision to switch for english after that.

It is written Pierrot in french. Peter, Pietra, Piero... all comes from the greek « petros » meaning a stone. Pierre is more common in french and also means a stone.
