I wear my wig everyday so I have to wash it like every 2 weeks or it'll get really tangled and dry

All the before and afters I keep seeing are hard to actually tell if the treatment makes a big difference because people keep using frizzy wavy hair as the before but then brushed and straightened hair after so it's not consistent. I'd suggest making sure your before clips are in a similar condition to the after so you can see how much of it is from the treatment and how much was just from brushing and straightening it.

Yesss, I used Silicon Mix (You can get it at the local beauty supply store.) And it made my lace wigs look professional, healthy, and bouncy. 10/10 reccommend. Don't forget let it air dry & to not blow dry.

Are you supposed to wash the hair with shampoo after washing out the silicon mix? I saw another video where it said to wash out the hair after using the mix because it will make it sticky-ish after it dries if you don't wash it! Does anyone know??

No, I don't use the metal combs or clips anymore, they were starting to break my hair off. I would advise against putting metal in the microwave tho 😳. If you have a hooded hair dryer you can use that instead of the microwave

Laura Marotta warm water allows cuticles to open... you start with warm water and after conditioning you’re supposed to use cold water to seal the cuticle

does the mix have a bad smell to it? I just watched a video on a lady who loved the Silicon mix but had to stop using it because it smelled so.bad..

If it's genuine, it doesn't have really a smell to it. Just smells like lotion or something. Nothing out of the ordinary. You could put your own products to make it smell good. There are other products that can be used as well, not just silicone mix, but it does need to be high quality like Silicon Mix. Definitely don't use cheap quality products or you will shorten the life span of the hair. Silicon Mix is the oldest trick in the book. After you wash the unit just turn the wig inside out once completely dry and seal the knots so that you won't have crazy shedding since washing the unit does loosen the knots. I use 3 coats of acrylic matte sealer for my lace units to seal my knots. Works like a charm. Also, about every 6 months, depending how often you wear your unit, you could go in and do a quick bleach bath followed by an ammonia bath. This completely restores the hair to brand new condition. Whenever you send your wig in for a repair, that's what they do to it. Search on KZbin for how to properly do a bleach bath and ammonia bath.
