Great points, especially the first. Working for myself and relying on me has taught me so much about the stories I’ve been telling myself my whole life. People will always pay the value that you’ve given to yourself. If you are constantly running into feelings of being underpaid for projects, or taken advantage of, or as Payton mentioned - upping the scope of work, etc…don’t look at the client. Don’t expect them to value you and your work more than you. Look inside, change your internal story about yourself. Start recognizing everything you HAVE done and stop beating yourself up over the things you haven’t. Carry that with you and your world begins to explode with possibilities.

Welcome back again man. Only upward from here. Question, if your business is not bringing in clients as often as you would like, how do you go about hiring a team if you don't have work really to pay them?

@@PaytonClarkSmith I think Ricardo is asking how he can hire people without a constant reliable client flow. There's definitely a hurdle to overcome when first scaling. Your expenses very quickly 10x, but your client workload and thus income, doesn't.

Love your stuff as always Payton! How did you get past thinking about profit vs revenue? Currently it feels like a big hurdle to bring a team on because I know my revenue will increase but my profit will surely dip. Am I thinking about it wrong?

Hey Payton, I am outreaching consistently using your tips but hardly get any clients from it. The few clients I did get were extremely satisfied with my work. It‘s quite hard because I feel like I‘m giving it my all and want to avoid going to uni because I‘m 18 and know I could be successful as a webdesigner. I‘d appreciate any tips All the best from Germany ✌🏼

Great video - thanks as always for sharing! Are there any tasks (or groups of tasks) that you would recommend NOT hiring out for? For example, I would love to have more clients and leads coming in, which could potentially mean hiring a salesperson - but I'm wondering if that might open the door to clients with improper expectations etc. What are your thoughts Payton?
@PaytonClarkSmith2 жыл бұрын
This is a really good question. For me, I like to handle sales calls myself, along with content creation. These are two things I enjoy and that I want to make sure they are done right. I also don’t recommend hiring out any big decision making or interviewing for hires. You are the visionary for your business so don’t ever let anyone else handle anything to do with the future of your business. Hope that helps!
