Ben Johns, Thomas Wilson, and Christian Alshon are by far my favorites to watch, not only are they diverse but they always stay persistent trying to make plays and win games. Congrats man and many more wins to come ❤

4:10 I remember reading a while ago that the feelings of “nervous” and “excited” are very similar. It’s the adrenaline that gives you the feeling, but you can choose how you experience it mentally. So just tell yourself: “I’m excited, not nervous”!

Thank you Christian for sharing your journey with us. And particular thanks for sharing the mental part of the game. Will reach out to see if you can share that part of your growth (smile every miss - love it) with our listeners on Pickleball Therapy.

AWESOME & KUDOS TO YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU'VE DONE AND DOCUMENTED!!!! Most of us pickleballers can't know how hard it is to be on the tour, but I do know how much more work, time and effort it is to do these videos.... so thank you for all you do!!!! (I could have said all this to you in-person when you were here in Charlotte last May for the PPA..... but it would have been an awkward conversation to have when we were standing next to each other... in the bathroom. lol)

Congrats! Thanks for taking us a long on your journey over the last year and a half, both the wins and losses. My favorite videos are actually of your losses, that you share them and dissect them with us. We love how raw they are...please keep sharing. You have to lose to win....and that it is about setting goals, persevering, and growth.

Congrats on the win! As a pro athlete do you make grounding/earthing part of your routine? I've heard of more and more athletes doing this and wonder if it's a thing in pro pickleball.

You have improved tremendously guy and your mental positive is great. You can do it and become a consistent champion in my opinion. I think you and Zane is a winning combination.

Love hearing you talk about mental health and your ability to work on it. Your passion is key! Next level is to envision the perfect game. Not one that you roll over your opponent, but, one where it's a perfect cat and mouse match. Tight score and exciting play. If you can search for that and be happy and passionate that is truely next level. All the best!

I can see why you're working on your mental game, the fake smiling is an interesting strategy and i hope you gain something from it. But i can tell you right now, masking it like you said is not the answer. You need to be honest like you were earlier in your videos, if it's the worst feeling in the world then allow yourself to be that way for a little while. Take a day, then get back to it tomorrow. You have to understand it's not about winning. If you're chasing wins rather than improving you will slow your growth drastically. Don't get hung up on results, focus on how well you played and if it was remotely near your best then there's nothing to be upset about
