I started actually working on a farm and getting paid for it when I was 7. I did it voluntarily. People who have never done a day of hard work in there lives. If kids see you working the wanna do what the grown ups do help out. I was leveling the ground for a above ground pool and my 5 year old niece came out and helped. I did not say that. if you read my post right. Kids need to do chores around the home to learn how to do the things they will have to do for themselves as adults. Having chores does not hurt them one bit. My parents both had chores as much as the kids in this video or more growing up and they turned out fine. My sister and I also had chores growing up at times. My own kids had chores growing up. Just because people have their kids working in a garden or orchard, does not mean that is child labor. Back in the day, kids learned their trades going to work for a master in that trade. Girls even 30 some years back were still learning how to keep a home under the watchful eyes of mothers or grandmothers doing chores while boys learned things too and including chores inside the home. If there is pestiside used in places, no the kids do not need to be around it. And you do not have to beat the kids either to teach them. I did not say that.

I don’t understand how this is child labour. Literally every child who grows up on a farm helps out and it’s actually quite fun and rewarding. It’s the same as setting the table or what not. Now go and investigate real child labour that goes on in India, China etc and you’ll see how badly they’re treated.
