Yes, it is quite good but I noticed a couple of inaccuracies. (1) Ayatollah Khamenei was the president from 1981, but at the time the president position was inconsequential. The prime minister (Mir-Hossein Mousavi) was the head of the executive branch. In fact, from 1981 to 1989, Khamenei was probably the 4th or 5th in terms of influence. (2) Towards the end, it was said that the army is weak. If we consider IRCG as part of army, they are actually quite powerful and they are running almost everything. It is quite likely that the next leader will be an IRCG puppet.

Democratically elected Mossadegh government in the 50s wanted to take back control of its oil and the massive profits transferred to the City by the British. The British with the Americans overthrew the government and installed their puppet the Shah to allow the Anglo-American oil interests to continue stealing the profits from the Iranian oil. A good and well explained informative documentary. But my question is, why should every country be a western liberal democracy? The west imposing liberal western democraies on West Asian, Southeast Asian, African, and South American countries is the source of conflict, and will never work because these countries have totally different social, political, economic, religious, and cultures structures and systems. I am a Shia muslim from Kargil India.The revolution occured when I was 22.Now Im 68.Naturally I was inclined to this govt being a Shia and as time passed the truthfulness of this system became crystal clear to me.Despite the conspiracies hatched hatched against it it has made itself so strong against its enemies.It has very good relations with all countries except the western hegemonic powers and Zionist apartheid state .It is a theocratic republic.I am sure that in future only theocratic republics headed by a pious spiritual religious leader shall b successful.Western democracies have failed bitterly.
