@@lyndafaulk547 Oh, so happy to know you are doing good...my Dr and insurance are working together to set things up for me, then call me with my surgery day...I had a hip replacement four yrs ago but from what I understand, knee is more painful but congratulations on your new knee 💗

I was sent home the next day and it was a horrific experience. I had developed complications that sent me right back to hospital for 4 days.

February 7th is my TNR on my right knee then left after that heals I am TERRIFIED to say the least!

I just had total knee replacement dec 13th 2021...its very painful ....but I made it through it with NO pain meds....I can't wait to get back to my old self

Be absolutely certain. You'll never go back to your original self. Never jump, lift heavy weight, squat or lift heavy. If you do so, you'll repent for the rest of your mortal life and remember my comment. However, if you're wise enough to understand that your old knee is never coming back, you'll live a reasonably healthy and happy life.

I has TKR 5 weeks ago tomorrow. Went home that day. Went to PT next morning. I go 3 days a week. I used a walker for a week or two, then a cane for a week or so. I'm bending 110° now. Hadn't been past 90 in years. Having other knee done in 3 more weeks. PT is tough but nothing has been horrible.

Sure, anti inflammatory meds for hip and knee replacement. This is bull. The pain is off the charts. That is one doctor I won’t be recommending.

Dude, for real. I had to be on oxy for at least a week. The doctor initially gave me only Tylenol. Ridiculous. 7 days was when the chronic severe pain stopped. The rest of the pain was from movement, which gradually dropped off during PT, and was manageable with Tylenol and ibuprofen.

Don't listen to this guy he's never had hip or knee replacement. I am an excellent health 55 years old 6 weeks post total right knee replacement. I'm still on a cane and I've played college basketball and I've been lifting weights 5 days a week for the last 40 years. There's no way anybody after total hip or total knee is walking well with a perfect gait after 2 weeks without a walker or cane. Just a lie
