He basically bridges the gap between show Black Noir (seeing the world as cartoons/puppets) and comic Black Noir (matching power set, craziness, blonde hair). @debonlr True, but Homeland doesn't have that level of a healing factor. He does have one, but there is a point where there is to much damage to him to recover. Black Noir is much better in that area. Also, Black Noir in the show had already been shown to have a major healing factor. He was one of the Solderboys' team that pre-dates the 7, and he had his head bashed in, yet he recovered.

I would argue Sam’s powers more closely represent Queen Maeve. They both punch steel, jump at incredible heights, and can’t be killed by any normal means. I could foresee a story ache where Maeve and Sam are some how’s related or connected. But I don’t think his powers are like Noirs. Noir is more like an Assassin but as a supe. Sam is just brute force and rage.

So far I'd say we don't have any reason to think Sam's HL level right now, but at the same time they did make it clear he's in another league than any of the other young supes. Since supes seem to physically mature at the same rate as normal humans, and we are strongest from mid 20s to mid 30s. I think is safe to assume Sam MIGHT be able to reach that level at some point. Although like with solider boy, I think HL's other powers give him the edge in a 1v1

I'm just speaking hypothetically because it's a fictional show that hasn't shown us Sam or Ryan's full potential or established HL's upper limits. All we know is HL is the strongest right now and story wise it makes sense for Ryan to surpass him someday. That doesn't necessarily limit Sam tho, all we really know is that his brother was a big stand out and Sam's stronger than he was (and its implied he is by alot). Ultimately Sam and Ryan will be as strong as the plot needs them to be. Idk if Sam will be anything special, all I'm saying is that they've set him up so that he could be if they want to go in that direction with him

I always hated the Clone Plot twist for multiple reasons. Not so much the idea of Black Noir being the real "master mind" in the comics (though quotations are very much needed due to his mental state), but because the whole "we need a counter measure in case Homelander goes crazy! I know, lets make a second Homelander!" it's kind of dumb. Like, I get the show did something similar with Soldier Boy to Homelander, but there Homelander was indeed an "improved" version, and also someone they hoped to mold from childhood, contrary to Soldier Boy who was already a douchbag before the V. It didn't work, if anything they just made something worst, but the logic was there. The perfect clone of Homelander it's like, they can created "Superman Clones" at will, and even brainwatch them... but you only make THE one, to deal with the Original as a plan B, without a Plan C in case Plan B is the one to turn rogue. There is so much wrong in that twist, and it honestly just felt like a way out of how to end the Homelander coup storyline in the Comics as even with the foreshadowing, it just came out at the last second, just in time for both of them to destroy each other (as, even if Black Noir won the fight, he was barely standing afterward, and was unable to fight back any further). If anything, I rather this be the same Black Noir, resurrected through more Compoud V, which is also something from the Comics. Granted, in the Comics that process didn't go well, but with Black Noir some extra brain damage will go in character.

There is no way in hell they are going to copy the comic Black Noir it is too predictable and the fans wouldn’t be happy seeing the writers get lazy and go for that route. The show will definitely not be going on for 7-8 seasons I think 5 seasons MAYBE 6 if they need extra room to wrap the story up. We also have Gen V which may go for another season or 2 they are already writing it as a tie in/gap filler for season 3 and 4 so I do not see that show outliving The Boys. Another point I must mention is that Butcher is terminally ill and only has 12-18 months left to live so I do think he will live to see Homelander die before he himself succumbs to the effects of V24. The end of season 3 confirmed that Homelander isn’t afraid to show his true nature anymore and we will see that manifest in season 4 and maybe by the later episodes or the last episode he snaps and goes full over the edge and tries to take over and he may go toe to toe with Victoria Newman if she begins to pose a threat to him but for now their relationship is merely transactional. I do think Ryan has a good chance of being the one to kill Homelander in some sort of fashion where we see him follow in his dad’s footsteps this season and then he begins to see the wrong in it and may turn on him. Who knows this is all speculation but we will see how accurate everyone’s predictions are when season 4 drops next month.

I doubt it but I'm really hoping it's soldier boy in the noir suit and vaught either wiped his memory or brain washed him or something and eventually soldier boy snaps out of it and keeps playing to get his revenge. With the clip if homelander can see the tumor on butcher he can definitely see through costumes. Or it's sam but with them pushing sam and cate as heros of the school I'm sure they don't want to cover up Sam's face. Then again with all the experiments at the school specifically boosting golden boy with Sam maybe they are using soldier boy and homelander to boost another Superbowl or maybe revive original noir.
