I arrived in Haridwar in the evening like you did and it was my FIRST SOLO TRIP in India and the beginning of a life-changing adventures. The next day when I saw the Ganga river I was simply a-m-a-z-e-d, then I caught a vikram (20rupees) to Rishikesh where the whole course of my journey in India changed as after that I quit my scholarship in Delhi to travel for the remaining 6 months... :))) River views in Rishikesh are stunning

at1304 the scene of the river, you cannot guess looking at a video how the vibrations and feeling there are like. The closest i can say is that you get a sense of awe you get a sense of the timelessness of the river as if the waters have flowed into present times from thousands of years ago.

Just a small advice regarding bus travel in India. Wherever possible, prefer a Government owned bus over a private one. They are more reliable, punctual and cost-effective. I guess you travelled in Haryana State Roadways and Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corp (UPSRTC) buses in this one, both government owned. Keep up the good work :)
@PankajMalik20167 жыл бұрын
3 years ago your $8 room was different, away from balcony. And also exchange rate was 1$= 55 I think.
@GabrielTravelerVideos7 жыл бұрын
That sounds about right. I was happy to pay more for the balcony with the Ganga view and less noise from the road.
@obeycorruptgovernment-else26287 жыл бұрын
Hello sirs Malik & Gabe, the exchange rate is $1 = 66 Rupees.
@GabrielTravelerVideos7 жыл бұрын
Correct. The first few times I came to India it was only 43-45 rupees per dollar, so it's improved, for us at least.

Thank you for the reply back. I understand you cannot continually reply back to comments and go on long chats, spend too much time due to your hassle of constantly uploading, recording, planning and narrating and repeating those steps over and over again till the only extra time you have is for sleeping. Lol mister Gabe, I don't know the exact math of how currency and the cost of living is affected or adjusted. So, I am not sure if it is much beneficial to tourists.

Donald Kline You have pretty sharp observation man .He was a cop and perhaps he might have tried to stop them. For routine checking cum greasing palms .Since the rider was not wearing helmet he was either supposed to pay fine or bribe the cop .He took the last option and ran away often happening on Indian streets.Because our cops are no less than demons.
