How is Climate Change Affecting Pakistan’s Agricultural Produce?

Due to the extreme heatwave, Pakistan faced at least 10% reduction in the domestic production of wheat and 30% reduction in mangoes in Sindh in the year 2022.
We spoke with Dr Ghulam Rasul, former Director-General, Pakistan Meteorological Department, about how changing weather patterns can be disastrous to Pakistan’s agricultural produce.

After reading comments and watching videos. It's sad. Afforestation, water harvesting, drip irrigation, permaculture, Vermicomposting, multi layer farming should have national agricultural priorities. Making Expensive dams will not provide immediate solutions.

Pakistani farmers are least prone to smart farming. Government support is almost absent...despite having staff of thousands of experts. Corruprion has wreaked havoc. Fertilizer and pesticide companies are at large to loot the farmers in conivance of Goverent officials. There is need to educate and support farmers at emergency basis. Despite all above farmers are working hard.
