Way to be super specific when saying “health benefits” and “medical professionals”

In the video, it talks about preserving the blood in the antlers, yet in the description it stated there isn't any blood supply. I feel there is a lack of truth and transparency here. Watching this feels like an infomercial rather than showing what people are tuning in for, which is to see if the animals are injured or harmed in this processing. Being as the removal of the antler (and the elk being subdued) steps were CUT from the video, I don't trust that these steps are not stressful or painful for the elk and thus I cannot support this product.

The description states that there is no medicinal value in hardened antler with no blood supply. Deer antler velvet most definitely contains blood. The animals are not harmed. The deer are restrained, local anesthesia is administered and the antlers are cut off. This happens once a year. No other farm animal is treated better and bothered less than a New Zealand farmed deer.

Antler regrowth is a natural process. You can look up videos of deer removing the velvet and eventually the antlers falling off on their own where the next year takes on the growth process for the antlers and the cycle repeats From the video, what I'm not entirely sure of his the time frame of when antlers are removed though. There is a moment where deer naturally cut off the blood flow to the antlers (which leads to velvet shedding in the first place) which is also when the antlers "die" for a lack of a better term. I'm curious if they have a way to monitor when blood flow has ceased or if it's a general window when deer testosterone levels are at its lowest

No. Deer regrow their antlers each year during the summer. Do you see how the antlers they harvested had a fur layer over them? That is the velvet. Each year, around August, deer shed the velvet usually by rubbing it against trees. Look up videos of deer shedding velvet, it's pretty interesting to watch.

Yeah, that's nature. Hope you like being part of it.

Technically yes, it hurts the deer afterwards, they numb them to remove it but its like an amputation, if you were to remove both antlers the deer would prob die
@VietFiddle5 жыл бұрын
No antlers are removed. They cut the top of the antlers only, leaving the root of the antlers intact. When the deer sheds the antlers, the root of the antlers fall off its head by itself. That means they are "harming the animals" a little bit.

You know that people harvest finger nails from people... especially those crazy people that let their fingernails grow 3 feet long! Seriously, the make-up industry uses it to test nail polish. This is a strange world we live in, we know that deer antlers don’t do dookie for anyone or anything! 🧐🙄🤔
@goldminer4533 жыл бұрын
@@bmell1252 It’s been proven by actual studies that the nerves and hormones help joint pain as well as have effects on penile bloodflow. Velvet antlers grow their own nerves/hormones/etc, that’s why the antlers are injected with a numbing solution, not below the antlers.

The deer velvet is used to knit bones and connective tissue - I looked into it because it was listed as an ingredient in a highly held herbal formula in a tincture ( and capsule ), I fractured my ankle and it is taking it's time knitting back together. But when I read of this inclusion of velvet deer antler I did not like that, Yet I hear it is really great stuff & can do the job. But I know the deer suffer in some way. The farmers who harvest from them may not think so.. I guess it depends on ones sensitivity. I'd need to see how the deer are when the removal happens. That was not shown in the video.

God damn this industry, I hope the same pain applies to every one of the people who are doing this to these poor animals. the horns were bloody and so obvious that there were alive nerves in them. God damn these people God deletes these people from the earth, and what is the use? Rich people or governments like Putin use them to make their body looks better. This world is awful
