That doesn't make the story great though. Whenever people say ShadowBringers was better it's in regards to narrative which I would agree with. However I also would agree the content and the quality of said content was peak in Stormblood. There is obviously a reason they decided to go a different direction though. I can't say what that is but I understand most of the players don't have the amount of time to play that I do.

I really liked Abyssos as a pf andy tbh, and don't like Anabaseios haha. Everyone in pf hates p9s's impromptu soccer matches, even reclear parties. p10s was hard enough to feel like it was almost as hard as p8s while also feeling like a gear check as the 2nd raid in the tier?... Now I've been completely unmotivated to prog P11 for months bc I heard it's a complete non-raid for dps and I'm not blown away by the final boss regardless of what that fight actually is. The stories of Endwalker I've really like though; it's pretty much 2 separate stories at this point and I'm all for it. There isn't a need for one epic new adventure each given expansion imho. I also liked how often they used story beats from previous expansions; hopefully they do that more often!

Endwalker has good content but most of it is one and done or pretty small scale stuff. If anything, the fact that the content is really good makes the lack of no real long term goals to work towards just stick out more. If the content was bad, people would complain about that over a lack of reasons to do it. One good thing though is that since none of the content requires a whole community behind it to function, it'll age really well.

The problem with Stormblood is that the expansion felt like a significant political shift between Heavensward and Shadowbringers. It also involved resolving a conflict in two separate zones with numerous and diverse characters, which, in my opinion, made the expansion's main storyline less popular. Some parts, like the Ruby Sea, had particularly slow and tedious pacing. In terms of PvE content and job balancing, as well as catering to both casual and hardcore players, it's widely regarded that Stormblood was the best expansion. The game struck a good balance, providing challenges that were neither too easy nor too difficult, accommodating a wide range of PvE preferences.

The first week of Endwalker and as soon as the firs tier dropped, I remember I said to my friend "Man, EW makes SB look good". I miss the mechanic aspect of the contents, the new Alliances raids for example, are just a sponge damage, there is zero management with adds, role mechanics and things going on like Ivalice, the game needs to focus up better in the feeling aspect to do stuff, and not only hardcore stuff, because lets be honest, the game nowadays is only interesting when an Ultimate drops, to go and do the content, it is miserable to wait I don't know how many months, to just one very difficult fight to be able to "have fun". I wish they change the job combat, but looks like they found their sweet spot, so I do not know if they will change this, very unlikely, but I wish, Endwalker does not feel like an expansion, this feels like an Update, and I indeed agree with you and believe that FF16 is what made this expansion so empty. I think that people who will defend any argument are the ones who build their personality over this MMO, and if you critique you are a "hater" and do not understand that we just want the game better, they need more middle content, Criterion was underwhelming because SE does not understand what makes people play is not dropping everything into the Mog Station, for easy access, but we want rewards to have a reason to play the game and do some contents, hence Criterion like I have mentioned. Anyway, I feel bad for the path the game is taking, and I hope they start to have numbers damaged and their pockets with a little less penny, so they start change something.

According to Lucky Brancho numbers (inaccurate but it is the best we got) the average trend line is higher than normal for EW even now. ShB is weird because of the WoW exodus. But essentially we see that their player base is increasing rather than decreasing. If DT has lower participation then they might reconsider somethings. They obviously know that XIV has a rather large barrier to entry hence the refining of ARR dungeons to fit the modern era, the new solo duties are also pretty decent and revamping of ARR MSQ dungeons too. Graphics is also the first thing people notice in a game so they are working on that too which likely are tons of resources, not to mention Yoshi P having his attention divided between two AAA games. Of course you have the player drop at the end patches but expect that number to pick up as DT marketing and DT itself starts coming. XIV like it or not has found its niche, a company loves it when they find their formula and unlikely to get as bad as WoW with the BFA/SL debacle on top of the sexual harassment/assault suits and a CEO so slimy as Kotick yet making hundreds of millions.

If FF16 had any effect on the development of FF14 content, it would have affected Shadowbringers too. But the reality is, it didn't affect either expansion because the two games have separate development teams, the exception being Yoshi-P and Soken working on both projects. I respect the hell out of Yoshi-P and Soken, but let's be real: their attention being split across two projects wouldn't cause the type of decline in quality we've seen. After all, they're just two people among dozens of others in their respective roles on the dev team.
@coolyeh1017
@coolyeh1017 Жыл бұрын
@@drayman101 I mean sort of? I know that EW did affect FFXVI's release cycle. However, it was mentioned that they shuffled devs between the games as they saw fit, so when XVI needed manpower they would take XIV members who were done with their tasks for XVI, and vice versa. Of course, it isn't like they were plucking random devs between the projects, it was likely taking devs or people with necessary skill sets for specific tasks (i.e. the graphics and engine people from XIV to XVI then to XIV since they run on the same engine but XVI's is massively upscaled, it is likely believed that the graphical update to XIV was because the team got experience in upscaling the graphics/textures from their work in XVI). Also, remember that when ShB was dropped planning for EW was in its early stages and they likely used current trajectory analysis to formulate EW's content cycle likely accounting for possible reduced manpower to get XVI done and transition back later, but we have no real information until we get the team to tell us what happened. Furthermore, it is also possible more devs time was taken from EW patch cycle once 6.0 was finished because the end development cycle tends to be the "crunch" time in the industry. This possibly means fewer devs for actual patch content, but really I think the bulk of the work went back to the Duty Support/Trusts for all the dungeons, reworking every single MSQ dungeon and required ARR MSQ dungeon/now formerly meme encounters for said purpose and the graphical update which is a massive undertaking since they have to go back and update five expansions worth of assets and textures.

I think besides FF16 (which besides Soken and Yoshi-P i dont think that their management for their staffs will be strecthed so far apart that it will affect FF14's content cycle), I do think the rework of the old dungeon for trusts does also play a part on their content structure for EW. Not sure how much it affects it though, hopefully Drawntrail will have more content as the old content rework is done on 6.5 (since Shb and EW's trusts are implemented on patch).

Giving my thoughts as an Endwalker MSQ lover and thinking it wrapped a 10 year journey amazingly despite **everything** I did feel its beat by beat experience felt a little less than more cohesive stories like Stormblood and Shadowbringers. EW is strongest when you contextualize your whole journey, a little less when you take it as itself. I think an issue with EWs development as well is that the team is kind of split right now with recovery from.COVID and production of FF16. I do feel that after the EW MSQ ive been hanging more in places from older expacs rather than EW. Since a great chunk of the game is there. EWs vets are also so much more toxic than when you encounter folks in earlier expacs because there's like an expectation of you to be knowledgeable already and you're swimming with the current raiders. I'll maintain that FF14 still needs to go a long way to make it feel like an MMO you wanna live in longer. Like Runescape, Guild Wars 2, ESO. Theres so much rich lore in the expac areas, but theyre so unused after the MSQ or Hunts. I hope them improving servers will allow them to safely manage and spread the playerbase's data so they can invest more on a more explorable world. Endwalker felt a little too linear.

As an MSQ andy, I feel like EW isn't good if you exclude ShB. A lot of the more hype moments were because of the story pieces and characters introduced in ShB. There were also many "filler" moments in EW, and inconsistencies with the plot at times. Elpis and Ultima Thule were the best done sections imo. ShB was more or less a fully self contained story. Even if you ignored all previous expansions, you could play ShB and take it as a good story (keep in mind Crystal Tower was originally not needed to do ShB). That's why I would consider it the standard for how an expansion story should be done. Small easter egg like references to past expansions, but could be played independently if you wanted to.

I think the biggest issue with EW is that all of the patch cycle content is complete able within a week. No point to do Criterion after 1 clear. Deep dungeon offers little xp (so no point to rerun it a lot) and was completed within a week. Island sanctuary was figured out quickly within the week. Relics were done day 1 of release. PVP was fun, but I only played it for a week tbh, I'll accept arguments on this on tho. Raids were done and on farm (like usual) within a week or 2 for a portion of the playerbase. The only content that took longer than a week is Ultimates and not every one does ultimates. It just sucks if you want to play 14 and all you have is capping tomes and reclearing raids. I just want more reasons to play it but it gives me no reason to play longer than a week. So many people are just going to leave after 6.5 since there is nothing to do unless you want to do ultimates or you're a new player doing old content.

Criterion is decent midcore content but the lack of rewards means that once you clear it there is no reason to go back. There needs to be something there like exclusive gear or glams that make it worth farming. Or even twines/shines so it's an alternative way to gear up alts. But Endwalker has I think okay ideas but not great execution. The overall story is only okay. Shadowbringers was a lot better and it's to the point where if I cutscene skip to unlock content on day 1, I don't really care. Roulettes are awful. No offense, but I think it does need to be called out that on expansion launch the first set of dungeons were decent to good with Dead Ends and Tower of Zot having a nice amount of difficulty, but dungeons after that have been mostly garbage. I understand the content is for casuals but there's casuals and there's blind person rolling on their keyboard level of difficulty and that has been all of the post expansion dungeons. I outright hate Expert and that's saying something after going through Matoya forever. I would take Matoya back over most of the recent dungeons. Making all of the dungeons two monster pack into boss is so boring. All the dungeons feel too similar now. Other than that Savage has been okay. The story was pretty bad though and the boss designs could have been better. There were some standout bad ones like the tree, but the spider and juiced carbuncle were fun. Yeah the expansion is just mid. Crystalline Conflict was a really cool addition though.

Criterion has some amazing mechanics, but generally 4 man content requires more personal responsibility, if you have a weak link it's very noticeable. Savage alliance raids in my opinion are better, You get to prog with people you normally don't get to play with. Fights are designed around 50 people, most peoples responsibility is just staying alive, and the mounts are way cooler. It's why people are very nostalgic about large raids back in Vanilla and TBC WoW.

With the way EW relics are done, you can really tell that Yoshi-P takes the "I want people to play other games than XIV" very seriously. It's clearly optimized for people that are in statics and don't want to play more than that, as the raiding itself will passively get them the tomestones required for relics. So they log in, raid, and log out. With all previous expansions, relics were always a long-term grind goal, sometimes revitalizing previous expansion content, which was great. ShB genuinely did relics the best. You had an entirely new area to farm for the long term but almost every step had an alternative way of doing it. The main thing however was that it was a great filler content to incentivise playing the game after raiding or simply give something to do for those that do not raid. Not everyone wants to play other games at all times, sometimes you really just want to play XIV a lot... and with EW if you're done in any way, shape, or form with raiding... there's no reason to do so, which is sad. If relic content is done as passive content, then a huge incentive to play the game is lost, as glamour is the true end-game motivator for the vast majority of us who actually want to play XIV.

Essentially what the team ironically did was listen to the playerbase. I remember there being more complaints than praises for Bozja and Eureka even though they fixed some of the problems. There was an interview or two by the team on Eureka and Bozja and that many man-hours were deticated to these zones. It is possible it was a case of "wait, the players don't like what we did after spending so much time on it? Fine, we will do something else." And that is exactly what they did. Instead of Exploratory content we got (according to them) three pieces of content, Eureka Orthos, Island Sanctuary, and Criterion/Variant. So "more content" in terms of quantity but not as grindy or deep as Eureka or Bozja. Hildebrand is the end game of optimization. Yoshi P has mentioned this before that the playerbase will optimize the shit out of the game this rendering al lthe extra effort pretty meaningless. From a project manager perspective, which Yoshi P is (and one of the best in the industry) this makes perfect sense. Or it could be that they wanted to test some ideas, like inherently Island Sanctuary where you can customize your island a bit with outdoor furniture, or Variant dungeon adding lore, or Criterion being highly requested 4-man difficult content but the execution falls in some ways but the potential is still there and the team has said they will continue working on it in Dawn Trail so who knows maybe they go the formula more refined. Eureka wasn't great initially but got better in the later zones and the buffs/nerfs.

@@coolyeh1017 Yeah, they did indeed listen, but at the same time it feels like they listened to the negative entirely unobjective feedback from the community, considering that there was some real good objective stuff said about Bozja. The problem isn't that we didn't got another Bozja/Eureka, it is that the current relics don't force you to do any other content in the game. What they prevent however is you doing any older content outside of the daily roulette bonus, since you need to be lvl 90 job doing lvl 90 content to get the tomestones. So you can't even use the roulette's to level up your other jobs. The optimisation part is only really true for the hardcore raiders. Most people take their time with relics, one or two weapons at a time, it definitely was more of a long-term content aimed at casuals more than hardcore people. Island Sanctuary is definitely a content for a long term improvement. Criterion and Variant meanwhile, I feel they are a big miss so far. I was absolutely uber hyped about them when they mentioned them, finished every entry for the first one and then started criterion... and... yeah, it was a glorified Alexander raids or 4 man alliance raids, depending how you want to look at it. But definitely not a dungeon. Was genuinely hoping it would be some massive pulls with boss mechanics thrown into the mix, leading to a single boss at the end, alas, from just a single prog session on that Rodent I lost all interest in Variant and Criterion to the point I did the new one once... and didn't bother at all again, despite the furniture I want being locked behind the criterion one. It genuinely feels as if the entire game was saying "STOP PLAYING ME". Which is sad cause I want to play it.

@Ryu_Makkuro I agree with you for the fact it's not forcing you to do anything but also I realized something about Bozja, a certain stage of the relic is straight up dead with delubrum because a lot if ppl don't care anymore about this, I wanted to make the stage for my SAM without going to a specific discord it took me 3 months to do it because if you're just 3 it's the same as being alone. With the EW one you don't need to do something specific like this but it's not the right way and it's kinda why I like HW relics doesn't need THAT much in term of people but you can still do the majority alone

I think ultimately the devs just want current players of XIV to all the major content within the current full game. People literally just joined with Endwalkers release and even someone like me who has close to 4000 hours in the game have skipped Eureka and Bozja entirely. And that's content that keeps these new players entertained. Sure it means that experienced players have nothing to do in the end-game, but ultimately I think it's the best choice, otherwise people would not only have NY player activity for Eureka or Bozja while trying to catch up, because most people re doing the current things and these two instanced content would become even more optional than they already are.

I think it's the other way around. Which like... if you spend enough time talking to people who play casually, that FOMO happens anyway, and now that they've tried catering to that they've kneecapped people who actually strive to do a wide variety of things in game. That said, Dawntrail needs to be larger than any expansion to-date not only because of the shortcomings of Endwalker, but because of the expectations and hype going to it. The first two dungeons was really promising then they were like "nuh uhh you got to play FF4 now". Aetherfont was different somewhat but the boss designs were literally just "fish but dog, bear but with crystals, giant octopus". The Endwalker MSQ was lacking focus like you said and lets be real, the final boss was a joke of a character lol Just appears suddenly 2/3rds in to the game and is apparently the cause of all the horrors happening and why the Final Days happened?? I quit the game after 9-10 years of playing, with well over 14k hours clocked in ( and I do not AFK, if i'm logged in, i'm playing the game so those are actual gameplay numbers ). With that said, since the game gained more and more of an audience/playerbase, the less and less fun I found myself having over time. With each new expansion. I feel more and more jobs were dumbed down and made ez mode and fights became much less rewarding. I miss being able to phase skip in fights for having high DPS and being rewarded for you and your party doing their best. I miss most classes feeling more complex and engaging, as where now a lot of jobs are doing the same thing as other jobs just with different animations. The removal of DoT's on most of the jobs just takes away from the fun I used to have. SMN is requires no thought, along with many other classes and it just rly sucks. Also the tome system needs to be changed. In a game where they say, ( play any job on one character ) all while having weekly tome caps and the dumb weekly raid loot lock system, it kinda defeats the purpose. If I want to farm 2000 tomes in a single day, the game should not stop me... If I beat a raid on one job and get a piece of loot for that job I should be able to go back on a different job to try again for a piece of loot for that job as well in the same week without having to make an alt character and should be class locked, not character locked. It is because of these limitations and casual catering of making jobs less complex and braindead. I feel the skill floor for classes is too low, and the skill ceiling is not quite high enough. It is because of this I just do not find fun in this game anymore and have since moved on from FF14. I'm glad new players like the way things are now and ppl are finding fun in the game but for someone like myself who has been around since the beginning It just lost its feel somewhere between the start of Shadowbringers and now near the end of Endwalker.

Likely I think the team has heard the complaints but the problem is that Arthars, Zepla, Xenos, etc opinions are in the minority. They likely have a team that is paid to figure out the calculus and allocations to see if something is worth doing or not. I might see more minor experimentation with content like they did with EW or decide to go fix the backend issues like they did in EW in lieu of content thinking that graphics or people getting tired of the same grindy content are the problems (and they sort of are, first time players notice graphics first and far most). But to significantly deviate a "golden formula" they found might be a pipe dream. Yoshi P and CBU3 have found a damn efficient and consistent pipeline and formula that almost everyone else in the industry cannot match and will continue until FFXIV declines so hard that it hits XI levels or a fall of grace like WoW did (and remember tons of people still play WoW).

In regards to story, EW has far too many lulls and not enough highs even in just the base expansion. Thavnair drags on for so damn long with completely unnecessary lore dumps, Sharlayan isn't much better but at least it's more connected to the main plot. As good as Elpis is, there are points where I was getting a little tired with the sheer amount of info dumping. Yoshida mentioned they originally planned to split EW into two parts with Anima being the conclusion of part 1 but somewhere in development they scrapped that idea. It shows because EW feels so incredibly rushed at times. Garlemald is little more than a footnote despite being one of the stronger segments of the story and the Final Days may as well not exist with how little impact it actually had. I don't dislike Hermes and Meteion as a concept per se but the come out of left field. And for the love of god, Zenos is downright AWFUL. They had absolutely no idea what to do with him and it bloody well shows. There's just not an "audience" after MSQ unless it's freaks like us and that's due to the content being lackluster. It's pretty sad seeing the old FFXIV streamers SE has given jobs to are just regulated to minimum wage pvp streams and such. Sure the servers are always full and the online store is always popping off. So SE doesn't need to change a thing. We have to accept that it's 9-5 going forward and should look to other avenues to get our fix now. People are still paying monthly for more inventory (retainers) for Pete's sake! It's gg.. Sure there are some MMOs like GW2 or ESO with a solid population but everything else to come out within the past decade either became a microtransaction heavy P2W hellfest, flamed out hard, became vaporware, or died out after initial hype. 6:21 ---- Whaaaaaaaaaaat? The Nier raids were awesome :( Sure, the story didnt make any sense at all, but the raids were top notch! People wipe to this day :D This may be an unpopular take... but imo they took the easy way out in Ultima Thule: they should've killed off the Scions. Not sure how to properly pull that one off but it would've made an impact, paving the way for us to mend some wounds in post-EW MSQ, help to mend the world after the Final Days and then go into Dawntrail, maybe even rebuild the Scions with some new members. I just think that would've been the stronger ending. Though I really love EW as it stands, the build-up and conclusion, I think they chose the easy goody-feel-good ending - and with post-EW quests barely even mentioning the Final Days (okay, mentioned, yes, but we're not involved, everything just kinda happens under the radar) it feels like nothing of note actually happened at all during the expansion. After HW we got to rebuild a section of Ishgard! Something like that for both battle jobs and crafters/gatherers would've been cool. At the moment we're having a little Adventure in the Void but lets be honest: the Void deserves at the very least its own expansion or two. Of course, we dont know what's gonna happen come 6.5, but sofar it had been quite predictable :( And it looks like we're going to wrap it all up in a single patch... Myeah... not sure how I feel about that... Another hot take: I think the EW relics are okay... ish. Considering that Hildibrand is mandatory now from ARR over HW and SB, and then EW, I can see that the devs didnt want to tie any more requirements to that weapon. When EW isnt current anymore and people will want to do the relics, gathering tomestones and doing some silly (yet very fun) quests is at least an approachable goal: in SB and ShB you need an entire raid group for very nieche and rather challenging content. Thats fine and fun, but doing it solo just for a relic is a pain. After our static's DRK got half-mad over Bozja and Zadnor grinding his weapon, I can see how "convenience" isnt automatically bad. Though I really, really hope, DT relics put some more Eureka/Bozja into the mix... or a super complicated obnoxious questline like in ARR :D

Something that a lot of people dont mention because we are very few the ones that do Deep Dungeon and especially solo, is that Eureka Orthos was a big disappointment and very telling of the route that they are taking, they took away the time and pomander managment and the decision making aspect that comes with it, you had to respect enemies and strategize just to get out of situations, in Eureka Orthos theres none of that, you just pull pull pull kill everything and get out, it plays just like any dungeon that happens to be deep. High difficulty where as if you were not playing your main it was an issue. Damage checks were pretty tight for healers it was definitely a shortage cause of the intensity which is GOOD. Alot of complaints about jobs Shadowbringers - Extremes were fun & had a very good level of difficulty - Savage Content Eden's verse music was just amazing - Set a different meaning to difficulty from e8s and beyond making fights more self mechanic based and more punishing. No one really complained about their jobs at this time. Stormsblood - Extremes were mid. Not that heavy in mechanics - Savage Content had just been introduced and introduction Heavensward - Extremes were fun a bit challenging Most Containment Bay Extremes were more difficult than the others. Real Reborn - Extremes were MEH only 2 really stuck out honestly and that was Shiva and Ultima.

"Stormsblood - Extremes were mid. Not that heavy in mechanics - Savage Content had just been introduced and introduction" did you forget that savage existed in all of Alexander and the 2nd raid tier of Coils?

The Endwalker story was amazing, and the quality of life changes was good. "Other expansions had good QOL too", for me, it was the least expansion played

I dont agree with most of EW Cons really, I liked all the content it was released, the only thing I agree are 2 things: we didnt get anything like Eureka/Bozja, the Criterion Rewards and the fact that there wasnt Trial questlines as a separate storyline.... and thats about it, those are the only 3 cons.

I told my static this one thing and I should have trusted myself more. The first raid tier going into dsr will be the peak for this upcoming expansion. I had a feeling itwas going to be a lot of meh for the coming year, and looking back mannnn did it stay as medicore as possible. There is a lot of content but the problem is, none of it is long term. Aside from the ultimates but that's to be expected. DSR was peak raiding and nothing will change my mind, and that was meant for fucking Shadowbringers. All I know is this expansion has set my expectations low as fuck for the coming Dawn Trail. Like it's pretty bad, I don't expect this trash 2 min meta to go away, the simplicity of job are now to be more engaging, or the savage raids to be any ounce of difficulty and have any replay ability.

I think people forget that since they took time to convert ARR zones to flyable, turning the MSQ to have duty support and revamping some boss fights, that also took out some manpower from other content of the game. Now that they are finally done with that, hopefully that manpower will be put into something more interesting.

It depends what you're looking for in 14 🤷🏻‍♀️ For me, I don't give a damn about ultimate or other hard content, I dont do deep dungeons, and I hate everything about Eureka and Bojza. Your pros for SB aren't anything I personally care about, so it offers less to me than EW does. EW gave me closure on the story, fun alliance raids, normal raids with a story that I actually give a shit about, more Hildebrand, and relics that I might actually bother getting because they're NOT locked behind a miserable grind in an area that I hate. tldr: it's all subjective

I'm not gonna pretend I agree w your points full on but I think that's the thing people are forgetting, EW has purely catered towards refining old stuff and just making sure the baseline of EW itself was enjoyable. The grind was non-existent and for some people that's a fucking big plus whilst people like me want something of value to do more thats more than a weeks worth of time. The lack of content and relic supplementary steps ironically caters to alot of people still

you can't consider DSR a 5.x ultimate. they weren't working on it with ShB content or with ShB balance in mind. it is not 5.x content. you got 1 ultimate for ShB and thats it. EW has 2.
@alfredvonsfer7136
@alfredvonsfer7136 Жыл бұрын
I believe the idea is that DSR was planned for a 5.x release and was cut from it, so it should have been a 5.x ULT, that was the intent. It didnt work out that way but there is a clear shift in ULT quality from DSR to TOP, it became more mechanical vomit than an encounter, imo. Sharing the trend with EW that, im here to do the thing then get out, not enjoy the experiance.

This just is wrong. DSR was the originally meant to launch in 5.3, this was confirmed by the devs, they then announced a delay to 5.5 and then finally announced a delay again to 6.2 so they could focus their devs on finishing the EW base content. Yoship directly said in a live letter it was a choice of releasing it or delaying EW so they decided to delay. they also confirmed at that point it was basically done, the parts left was just play testing. This is also when they confirmed how that works internally, they only have one group of 8 in the dev team who they test ults with and one of those people needed to work on EW content. DSR is shadowbringers content which was delayed, which is why people were asking for 3 in EW and why it was disappointing they didn't even do that, and have also mentioned at fanfest in interviews its unlikely we will get 3 next expansion either. This isnt one of those cases where its just fans guessing like with the whole "ew is bad because they worked on ff16" this info is directly from the developers and was told to everyone at the time in ShB

Have you seen how DSR phases are ? Why you think some lv 90 job and EW jobs feels awkward there ? Reaper is garbage there due to phases timings. It was design for 5.x and development finished at 6.x that's it
@teemopanda02
@teemopanda02 Жыл бұрын
That isn't true. DSR was developed for 5.0 but due to covid wasn't finished until around 5.55. This is something the devs have openly discussed numerous times, even during the leadup to EW.

I feel like this varies from person to person right, some pros for Stormblood are cons for me, like, Ivalice? Really? Story was a drag and raids were ok... had more fun in Nier (raids, story was a drag as well) and current 24 man. DSR is not shadowbringers, no matter how you put it.. if you're judging EW for what it is, you gotta judge Shadowbringers with what it was. DSR has to be put on EW side. I can also make excuses on how FFXVI was being developed at the same time and devs were being stolen from FFXIV team to work on issues from time to time (something they admited to in interviews lol). Especially closer to FF16 release the more and more people had to be involved which affected FFXIV during EW times. I could use that logic to say whatever ultimate is to come out with Dawntrail, belongs to EW lolol Plus, covid! Next two ultimates have to be given to EW then! xD To sum it up, main point is that what's good for some people may not be that good for others, you can make argument for Shadowbringers or EW being the worst on patch content and both would be valid depending on what you value. Fun video man, keep rockin :)

The people complaining about Endwalker are the content creators that can't find things to talk about and players that have been playing for years and have already done everything they want to do in the game. The vast majority of the playerbase just log in and chip away at long term goals or they don't log in, they don't complain and they just find something better to do with their time.

Now that we're nearing the end people are gonna start to whine more since it's now past the point where the game could change and address any complaints Also I feel Zepla is one of the faces of the GCBTW with her big focus on sprout content and general positive attitude so if someone like her speaks up and voices her concerns then that encourages others to do the same. I also feel the backlash of the community is why others try not to criticize the game too much.
