It’s not that Raila has any sympathy for Ruto, it’s that he’s a transactional politician and he’s getting something out of it, be it the AU position support, government positions for his cronies or simply conspiratorial cover for the heists enacted via Kenya’s odious debt accumulation during Uhuruto, and which he may have benefited from.
