JoJo, you sir did a fine job. RTJ has a knack for finding those places on the track with grip and drives to set himself up to hit those like a slingshot it seems. He was very precise in his driving. You sir definitely showed out! Proud of you guys!

Well RTJ's time in Iowa is what I know made him as fast as he is, since people move to Iowa due to the fact they can get five to seven years experience in one year. Along with the fact that many of the best drivers in the country race in Iowa.

I don't know how they keep score but I'm just wondering how they put 20 in front of you on one of those restarts later in the race
@ChrisS-oo6fl7 ай бұрын
They use radio frequency identification with a Transponder on the car and receiver fixed to a point at the track. Ideally the transponder is fixed to the exact same position of the car (depending on series/track rules) when the car passes the receiver it registers the time. It’s accurate within .003 seconds. This why Joseph didn’t get scored technically for leading a Lucas oil lap, according to the live stream the official time he lost that lap by .009 seconds to RTJ which is to close for our eyes to see. Also within a margin of error depending on mounting location. Under yellows and restarts most series revert back to who was ahead when they last past the scoring marker (receiver). It doesn’t matter where your at at the time of yellow. Some tracks have multiple scoring markers making this more accurate.

Be a series regular. Any series and dope your tires and you will figure out how he does it. Every series is guilty of letting regulars get away with it!
@stevenbrann46727 ай бұрын
He didn’t Chop yall or pinch. An he Didn’t have know other gear. He Gave JOe Open Clean Lane through entire Conner. He literally Let Joseph pick his Ln all the way through the turn.. that being said. This is what makes him the best on dirt right now. But He put Joe in a position where he had to over think. He would either ride him to the wall like he did Mikey. or Have to barely lift . His car control is like know other. He let Joesph pick line. An he went to work. Most would go in high to continue the momentum. He didn’t. He stayed there a mirrored Joseph with no room for error. Putting everything on Joseph. Which that move took the air of the Rt front. Causing him to lift. Wheel his dig stick was gutted a pulling Joesph lifted. Joe Joe you did good buddy I’m happy to see you with your head up around those guys. First race of the yr. He’s not stopped 3 yrs

@@jamieday6602 not defending this statement but NOT a single person familiar with this industry in any capacity would describe the events we witnessed as chopping or pinching especially at the moment they are describing when RTJ dug through 1 to walk.(Joseph definitely scrubbed momentum with that entry). I’m not an RTJ Stan neither, it’s just the FACT that’s not open for interpretation. A lap earlier RTJ did start to rotate earlier into 1 but straightened the car leaving copious amounts room. There was never..ever any chopping, door closing, and side air. Nothing. It’s just an in accurate and biased perspective. According to the live stream they didn’t get the Lap either and lost it by .009 seconds. That’s happened before on this channel typically when cars are destroyed or put on their lid. They where fast AF though. Can’t take that away. Amazing the performance resources can afford a team. But they came in way to early and faded like we’ve seen before.

You were up to 2nd and faded back to 6th. Obviously your tires gave up, and so did your grip. Your chassis is not working when the track slicks off. You are loose and hanging off of both corners. You got to figure out some way to get more left rear drive off the corner. Stop listening to the chassis builders and start thinking for yourselves. The guys that win all the races are NOT doing what everyone else is doing. They've figured it out on their own..
@justinworkman99807 ай бұрын
I protest the 20rt something different going on with his car some special shocks or something
@billjackson607 ай бұрын
He explained just how he does it, he saves the tires until towards the end of the race
@troyelliott50457 ай бұрын
So he leads the whole race and saves tires but yet your saying everyone behind him isn’t please explain your thought process. Personally I think it’s more of a setup advantage that may not be as hard on his tires because you can’t say 1st and 2nd running the same pace that 1st is saving and 2nd isn’t
@ChrisS-oo6fl7 ай бұрын
@@billjackson60he does save rubber but RTJ just like so many before has found something that works for him at this time that’s better then everyone. This is how the industry works and it’s in cycles. However “protesting him” is certainly rhetoric by people not exactly cognizant or familiar with the sport, rules or setup. RTJ’s most certainly not cheating. Working in the grey is likely but that’s not cheating. At times RTJ’s will dig making forward like no one else can. If you watch highlights there’s plenty of times where he’s getting challenged and out wheeled/played on an extremely slick track and he just absolutely launches when someone rotates under him. Even when he’s lacking side bite, he can square off the car and drive off hard. It could even be something that works for him specifically.
@ChrisS-oo6fl7 ай бұрын
@@troyelliott5045 You can actually save Rubber easier by leading the race that’s just how it works for a multitude of reasons. You have to understand that the leader doesn’t work as hard, agin for a multitude of reasons. There also numerous variables to tote wear and conservation. RTJ is good at saving rubber. But that’s NOT the only reason he’s fast. His stuff is just on point. He’s found something no one else has just like all the others before him. That still doesn’t mean he’s cheating. That’s an adolescent comprehension of the sport. It’s a common one for regular fans not organically familiar with it.
@troyelliott50456 ай бұрын
Yea this is late never said he was cheating said it had more to do with setup and yes being out front be isn’t dealing with aero issues until he gets to traffic. Some guys are better with the throttle which helps on tires but the overall point I made originally was that he has a better setup.

There seems to be some confusion, misinformation and arguments. Unfortunately for HTF fans the 10 has yet to lead a Lucas oil lap. He lost the lap to RTJ by .009 seconds. This was announced live during the stream and validated by Lucas oil. My Race Pass isn’t an official time. It’s a third party utilizing Mylaps Hardware. Their API could be incorrect. If they also streamed speedhive that data is likely more correct. .009 seconds is extremely close and well within a margin of error including from variables in mounting location. The variable of the actual timing system is .003. Per pickup so the difference could be more like .003 seconds. That could be the thickness of the mounting bracket. It could literally have been a tie. But it wasn’t it was scored to RTJ according to the official information.

Ricky Thornton is faster because he is TIGHTER than you are. The photos and videos bear it out. He is not as burried on the right front, his left rear is not as high in the air as yours. You guys are so connected to the power players that you cannot see the truth in the videos/pictures.
