Well done for navigating the hectic roads of KL while filming and talking, no mean feet. I do question as to why everyone leaves work at the same time. We have the same issue with traffic here in Auckland, New Zealand. However what I tend to do is to leave home early to avoid most of the traffic, then leave work early, this then staggers the traffic. Any work that you need to do, you can do from home when you get back. Just a thought.

Thanks!! The sheer amount of human traffic makes it impossible to not get caught in a jam in KL, unless one leaves work at 3pm. From the timings of 4pm to 8pm, it's traffic jam time.

Great video. Sounds like Los Angeles! People are too stressed. Thanks for all the information. I'm looking forward to going to Malaysia when I retire in 1 year! I can't wait.

In the CBD of KL, it is better to use the metro to take the stress out from the traffic jam and flood. Drive only off-peak hours or the areas that don’t have the metro line. You can also wind down at the pub in most of the big malls in KL. Stay near to the metro station as it will greatly help to manoeuvre yourself in the city.

Basically lots of planning needed in terms of logistics and timing whenever in KL

Everything you described about the road and traffic here: Need to constantly be aware of the lane and when to turn, need to allocate a lot more time for traffic, stand still traffic, narrow lane, confusing turn, etc. etc. are very very normal and common in Jakarta as well.. Maybe could even be worse there as a lot more motorcycles on the road as compared to cars.. But you know, human is very adapatable, sooner or later you will find a workaround for it: Maybe avoid certain timing, maybe find an alternative way to reach your place, maybe use motorcycle instead, or maybe not so ambitius and only allocate 1 place/destination per day, or maybe just accept it as normal.. Still not ideal off course, but just saying for people from there will find traffic in KL just like normal.. Fully understand different than the more efficient and safe Singapore driving conditions though.. And thanks for the video once again..

Thank you for watching our videos! Every city has its unique offerings and challenges. KL is no different. Jakarta too has insane traffic and even longer jams

As my buddy would say "A stop sign is just a suggestion." This may be a touchy question, but have you two considered getting another dog?

John, are you a local here? KL roads congestion had ease very much after MRT are running. You just need to plan your time of driving after work. Some staff leave late and start late, but in SG every one rush at office hours. Malaysian workers work very hard but salary is low. Most of these young lives with parents so they can save some money.

John is Singaporean, on long term visit visa here. We currently reside in Penang and we frequent KL to visit friends & family. Fran is Malaysian, Sg PR. We call both countries our homes and we split our time there when we are not travelling overseas.

The afterwork hustle is real. Many youngsters also work 2 jobs which really drain them. I’ll say Singaporeans have better work life balance than KL.

Hey guys! What is the real estate situation in KL now? Do properties like SO Sofitel look sexy investment-wise or not at all?

Hi there! Great to hear from you! We would not recommend properties in KL. Over supplied. We know of many people who are stuck with their properties, unable to fetch good rental yield nor sell them at a profit. We recently met some investor friends of ours on this trip and they own properties all over the world but not in KL.

I think your driving experience in KL is misleading as you are temporary here & seeing more vehicles on the road I get you. I been living here about a decade from Singapore. In KL, you just needs time for adapting. Once you are familiar with the roads & timing, you don't even need to used Waze or Google map which is dangerous while driving. The beauty of KL roads is that there are many ways to get around while escaping the jam, take time to learn while experiences it & soon you will enjoy it.
