As far as his NBA resume is concerned, his output put him in the same All-Star "tweener" category as Shawn Kemp/ Tim Hardaway. But in the end, it comes down to what you said in the video: Sexual assault allegations and way too many of them. My HS coach played @ Cal with him (well, he wore the same uniform, but did more watching than playing) and he never said anything about him allegedly assaulting anyone. I met KJ personally @ his soul food restaurant in Sacramento a couple years ago (it's called Souls and the food is slammin'!) and he couldn't have been nicer. But if homophobic comments from Hardaway are gonna keep him out of the HOF given his resume, then KJ is definitely not getting in. And despite not ever being convicted, part of me is happy that he won't ever be inducted.
@drusif853 жыл бұрын
The assault accusations mainly, the hall doesn’t want that coming up when he’s nominated. The real question I have is why Chris Webber isn’t in the HOF?? T Mac and Vlade Divac got in before him?? Chris was a much better player than both and his teams got immensely better and made the playoffs the second he arrived. Have you done a video on CWebb?

I also don't agree he had a "much" better career than Mark Price. Mark Price was cracking people nightly. And just when his game was really taking off, he got injured. The first time I ever heard the word “penetrate”, is was used referring to Kevin Johnson’s play on the basketball court, back in the mid 90s. Now, I’m hearing he tried to penetrate all these women (allegedly). That story about the girl from overseas is bizarre (help her with her acting career? You didn't shoot the three because back then guys actually knew how to play without just knocking or shooting at 3 but his mid-range was incredible. Him and Jeff hornacek used to literally shoot their way out of holes in the game... as for the allegation there are hundreds of men thousands of men who have allegations against them. Despite him being a great Mayor of Sacramento, he has the reputation of being a douche . St Hope Academy was his non-profit he ran for at risk kids in his native Oak Park neighborhood in Sacramento. He is also credited with saving the Kings from moving to Seattle. However, his allegations scrapped the ESPN 30for30, highlighting his efforts in the Sacramento Kings staying from airing . Despite everything, he's still the best basketball talent to come from Sacramento. He's just always had a clould over his post-basketball career. Too bad his pride won't let him come clean and move on .

First of all KJ should be in the Hall of Fame one in the era of his guards he was one of the best, and those Phoenix Suns teams were really good the west was just really stacked at that time Portland trailblazers, San Antonio was coming up, the Lakers, the Rockets and he’ll even sometimes those Golden State teams with TMC. As far as shooting with a team of Eddie Johnson and some of those other players he had he didn’t have to do the shooting that most guards do today he did enough, and this three thing is overrated that’s the problem how are you going to match a point guard if he can shoot or not shoot the three Steph can shoot to three but it’s a whole bunch of dudes who launch up threes….. As far as the allegations and the sexual salt hands-down if he did any of those trash

First of all I'd like to say that I enjoy these stunted growths. & for the MOST part, I usually agree with your reasonings. I've just watched 3 str8, & I have to disagree with at least 1 stunt out 2 of those. This happen to be 1 of those. I'm not saying he's guilty & I'm not saying he's not. What I am saying, is that when you are in the spot light, yes some use it their advantage, & some take advantage. I don't buy where there's smoke there's fire saying. A person with money like Michael Jackson for instance will sometimes pay off an accuser just to make it go away, even when innocent. Because during the that time of months & even years they will most likely lost that much money, reputation, & some anyway. Not to mention the accused is 99.9% guilty anyway even before he/she are even served or arrested. Especially when black. & when a person settles out of court, in the eyes of the majority of outsiders looking in, that's an admission of guilty. & there are a lot of scavengers out there that knows he/she has settled once & will use that to their advantage knowing that people like yourself are gonna say it happened more than once he's guilty of something. Disregarding the multiple times an accused has been lied on who's spent time in prison, life in prison or even death. Only to find out decades later it was all a lie. For all we know, he couldn't get her career started like he thought & that was a way of retaliation. There are some dirty people out there there. I know a guy first hand on hat was lied on, had each & everybody turn the their back on him all because a mother coached her child to lie in which she finally recanted 3 years later after speaking with a school counselor about the situation. My thing is, he's never been convicted. So therefore in the eyes of the law he's innocent, which is always considered the best laws of the land, until it comes to certain people, which we all know whom the majority of those people are. IJS It may be the NBA's way of punishment, but at least he didn't have a relationship with 15 year old that we surely know about the hat is true.

If you're innocent, u need to show that in court. Paying people off is seen by most as a admission of guilt. Need to clear your name. KJ is like Tiger Woods, Kobe, Shaq,Barkley....they have massive egos and are 2 dumb to realize to keep it in your pants or shit goes wrong.

I think he’s probably Hall of “Pretty Good” material if you ask me . He was a good player in a great era . The other stuff definitely killed what borderline shot he had at the Hall of Fame . And rightly so I think.

Man.... I just never understood sports that punish people for their personal lives instead of focusing on what they did on the court or field. That's just my opinion. I still feel Pete Rose deserves to be in the HOF so.......🤷🏾♂️

KJ should’ve been a 5 or 6 time all star. He averaged 20.4 ppg and 12.2 apg(Third in the league behind J Stockton, M Johnson) in 89 but wasn’t named an all star. He averaged 19.7 ppg and 10.7 apg(Second in the league behind J Stockton) in 92 but didn’t make the team. He averaged 20.1 ppg and 9.3 apg(Third in the league behind Mark Jackson, J Stockton) was named NBA player of the month for April 1997 and didn’t make the team that year. The Suns were a 50 plus win team most of his career. KJ was a great point guard, very underrated.

KJ shooting has nothing to do with him being in HOF it was a much different game in Mid 90s to even bring up 3point shooting is misguiding no one shot three pointers like they do now. KJ was an exceptional mid range shooter excellent passer. He wasn't a first ballot Hall of Famer but definitely he is a Hall of Famer but with those sexual allegations obviously is the reason what kept them out.. But personally Hall of Fame is based on your professional playing career not personal life. There are others who have done far worse and I went to court and pled guilty to stay out of jail and are in the Fame.

He was a very good shooter just not three's. He could hit long 2s all day and when they shortened the 3 pt line he hit 3s all day. Field goal percentage was always around .500% Free throws always above 80%. Its hard to put up 20pts a game your whole career when you "cant shoot at all". Especially a 6' 1 point gaurd.
