It’s great to see the shooter genre players learning what the fighting game community has known for a very long time. Marvel vs Capcom is a BELOVED fighting game by the whole community and it is absolutely BROKEN. Every character has an infinite combo. Every character has the nastiest mixups. Obviously top tiers exist but the biggest fighting game tournament in the world was won by a low tier team. Anything is possible and that’s why crazy games are crazy fun. Don’t forget it’s the crazy gamer casuals who make up your viewership and contribute to sponsorships.

I don't know what MvC you're talking about, but at the last MvC3 bracket at Evo, 5 of the top 8 teams had Doom, Vergil, Zero, and/or Dante on them, or some combination of the 4. And the 1st place team was Doom, Phoenix, Dormammu. That's an S-tier team. 2nd, 5th, and 6th were the EXACT same team of Vegil, Doom, Zero. Even when you make everything broken, there's still gonna be the most broken thing, and all the players will just use that. In fact, didnt the exact same thing happen in Marvel Rivals? Hela, Hawkeye, Luna Snow, Strange were pick/banned in every high level game i watched.

Finally finished this; obviously we're all waiting for the post-season 1 launch podcast, also imo we need to discuss map design. You're respawning quick AND CLOSE to the battle. long range TP, all this stuff combines to make the game feel closer to the constant action of old Quake, as opposed to even OW can feel like an eternity to respawn with a Zenyatta w no taxi. This is why people don't feel the need to run in MR, not just 6v6. People still regrouped after a pick in 6v6 OW.

How is the problem that if you lose repeatedly by the way it's definitely more than two matches in a row just from personal experience using the bot detections like checking the profile after the match you have to have to be on quite the lose streak for this even to take effect and it is to give players that are doing so poorly and not having fun a little bit of a win so they can enjoy the game the issue is More how its received than the mechanic itself

It was a weekly ban of a set of hero’s that applied to the whole game so nobody could play hanzo and I think 3 others characters for the week. The characters were chosen at random so it wasn’t a good system at all and it felt like a blizzard said here is hero bans …see you don’t actually want this guys when in gave a bad version just to say that we were wrong and they are right and to not be questioned because they know

@ I think the rivals system of bans are chosen within each individual game rather than a set of hero’s bans across the entire game for an extended period of time is better because it basically became a new meta for the week and anyone who likes to play the banned hero’s can only do so in quick play which many casuals didn’t like at all and it didn’t really fix any problems the main game had with balance that much either bc if a hero that wasunconsiquential to the meta was globally banned that same overpowered meta persisted for the week. In the system rivals has where you pick per individual game you can have a tailed experience to the lobby of players you have and choose your experience . I’m not saying it’s perfect just the overwatch community or at least a part of it at the time had asked for hero bans of the system rivals had and blizzard gave that system instead, overall player base wasn’t receptive to that system

So assuming that there are "bad hero bans", its the players fault and not the dev teams fault. A lot of their points would make sense if role queue would have replaced open queue, but that would not have taken place. IMO it’s isn’t fun at all solo queue rank. Being the only support with a team full of dps isn’t fun. I have won every single rank game I have played. But i would not call it an enjoyable experience. There is nothing fun with having 5 dps consistently complaining about not getting heals. And then when you ask them to swap their is good possibility of them throw the game. If I didn’t pick support in any of my games my team would have loss every time.

I'm tired of people wanting to bring gay relationships into media just for the sake of it. Homosexuality is such a cool concept that adds real struggles for a character to overcome, like learning to accept who they are and finding happiness. When it's done right, it can create powerful, relatable stories that really hit home. But honestly, in the last few years, this idea has been so overused and misused that it has lost its impact. Instead of feeling meaningful, it often just makes people cringe when they see a gay relationship shoehorned into a story.

As a bisexual person I have one small correction for you if you're going to feel that way go ahead and drop the double standard and just say relationships in general including a relationship in general for no reason if you're not going to depict a relationship well is just absurd and pretending like there is anything really special four different about an lgbtq relationship as opposed to a straight relationship where you need the lgbtq relationship to be some depiction of struggle and self-realization and you need that to have deep ties to the actual themes of the media but straight relationships are fine to just be there regardless of insanely homophobic the actual problem with gay relationships in media is how often they are depicted either super flamboyantly and just really exaggerated and parodied or a lot of times we have people trying to take the approach your championing here where it tries to attach it to a journey of struggle and self-realization I'm going to be honest when it comes to me and every other LGBT person I know there was no real struggle to finding out hey I like dudes you get more into that when you get to trans people look for gay lesbian bi the only real struggle there is in that is when your parents or the people around you are not accepting of it so a lot of the time when you see a gay character and they're not going through a struggle they have to overcome just to be gay it turns out yeah the parents are actually good parents there the only gay lesbian or bisexual person I know who had any sort of struggle related to finding out their sexuality and accepting it is the one that was raised by homophobic parents but even then when they came out as bisexual the parents did their best to be supportive the idea that being gay has to be linked to a struggle and has to make it hard for you to accept yourself find love or even self-realization is absurd and politely please stop romanticizing the idea of struggle the whole thing there about their needing to be a reason and they're needing to be struggle is kind of demeaning Leicester Street gay relationships and straight relationships in media the same sometimes you'll have a struggle attached to it sometimes you won't either way it's just a chance to explore how the character handles a relationship

You really need to look inward if you think people that are not the same as you are only the way they are for your entertainment. Most people don’t grow up just knowing they’re gay, it’s something they figure out during adolescence, which can be a really tough time. That’s when a lot of people deal with confusion, fear, or even bullying because being gay isn’t always accepted. It’s such a big deal for some that they hide it, don’t come out until way later, or even try dating the opposite gender to seem 'normal.' Every gay person has faced some version of that struggle, no matter how confident or 'fine' they seem now. Saying 'people are just gay' feels like it ignores all of that and downplays how hard it can be. People in real life aren’t there for anyone’s entertainment, but characters in media are. If a narrative introduces any concept, whether it’s a gay relationship or anything else, it should serve a purpose. When it doesn’t, it detracts from the story rather than enhancing it. My point isn’t about the existence of gay characters but about how they’re written into narratives. The entertainment industry has misused gay relationships a lot. They’ll introduce them without any purpose, and that’s led to people associating gay relationships with poor storytelling. It’s actually done more harm than good if the goal was to normalize gay relationships. If we really want to normalize them, we need to show the struggles gay people go through and how they overcome those struggles. That’s what makes these stories powerful and relatable, and it’s what helps people really understand what it’s like.

And I think it does a better job at normalizing being gay because it gives the character the room to have any other struggle that any person could relate to, instead of only gay people relating to a story about a gay person struggling with identity

Blizzard just announced overwatch 3! They said they are taking overwatch 2 and expanding it. It’s going to be a huge shift in gameplay because they announced overwatch 3 is going to be 6v6.

It boggles my mind a little just how little people know about making 3D models. While sure having an already established concept in a marvel hero might expedite the process, its the fact that the models are never first person, they are only third person so there is only one set of animations, unlike a first person shooter where you have to animate everything from the first person and then also from a third person pov. Like a single legendary skin in ow is around 6 months of work, from concept designing to 3D modeling and then animation and polishing. I wouldn't exactly say that Marvel Rivals animations/character design are close to OW's, not to mention the uniqueness of heroes isn't really there.

2:00:09 probably not gonna see this but theres actually a lot of queer characters already in game, people just dont tend to acknowledge it. One that might surprise you is wolverine who is Bisexual (possibly pansexual) and polyamorous, people call venom agender and its not technically wrong but its a bit of a cop out and much more interesting to explore how Eddie and Venom are queercoded as a pair, Loki is pansexual and genderfluid, Starlord is also Bisexual and Polyamorous. Im not gonna specify which ones cuz id rather not get into leaks but plenty of the leaked characters are also queer so this game is actually doing really well for lgbt representation so far and is lowkey already ahead of competitors like overwatch and apex

I'm a disgruntled ow2 player. I never touched ow and in ow2 for me, in just months, they ruined the game. Since iys been out it has slowly become the most disgusting hero shooter on the market imo. I would rather go back to paladins than touch ow2 after marvel rivals. Speaking of I hope they survive more than ow2 lol. The game was wayyyy better at the beginning of ow2 than now or even before season 9 or tank buff changes. There are casuals still on the game, but I think they'll get bored and fed up eventually aswell. It's only a matter of time with blizzard.

Marvel is not homophobic there is a long long list of lgbtq Marvel characters including a lot of the most prominent X-Men Iceman gay in relationship with ema frosts brother ( could be related to Emma some other way don't quote me on that) ethan frost Mystique bi Deadpool pan Kitty pryde i think bi maybe lesbian Morph pansexual Carmen cruze lesbian Outside of X-Men we have just going off the top of my head here Wiccan and hulkling gay relationship Black cat bi Valkyrie lesbian Angela Thor's sister who's real name I absolutely cannot spell out for you lesbian America chaves lesbian Jin joon-sung gay Amalia chavez lesbian Aneka a high profile member of the Dora Milaje lesbian Eidolon another wiccan love interest gay spirit Fernande a lesbian angel Frank cortez gay Say what you want about Disney here but Marvel has done a really good job with having LGBT characters in certain lighters like al ewing have a very good way of portraying them for example in his Immortal bulk run Charlene McGowan The prominent trans character throughout the entire series is the first person to figure out when the world is being mind-controlled to see reality different than it was meant to be because she was already experiencing questioning her own reality and with her and a journalist there the ideas explored about transgender people and them just wanting to be themselves with Joe Fixit the most prominent Hulk in the story aside from the big guy voicing his support and relation to the idea If you want to see pay more details list you can literally find it on the Wikipedia the reason why you may know some of these characters and not that aspect of them is simply how rare those aspects are to be relevant to the crying fighting and superheroing aspects of the characters a lot of the time being background or in less known books as well as the fact that unlike most media they don't really try to play up the fact that they have gay characters they treat them like any other character and only a handful of them even have their Partners featured prominently gay or straight like Wiccan and Hulkling, Hulk and Betty Ross Peter and MJ or Peter and Gwen Stacy or Peter and black cat, and Mystique and her gf are the only examples I can really think of of characters in general who have had their significant other prominently involved in a storyline because to be honest for a superhero story the love interest it's not often required

@@Mrbody-tq9uc when I say marvel is homophobic I mean the higher level execs who like to censor the comic creators from exploring complex ideas and having complex lgbtq+ relationships and themes. Blizzard I’d also say is homophobic in this way, allowing the gay stuff for comic nerds to enjoy but they try hard to keep it out of the public eye. Deadpool for many people acts gay as a bit, and serves as a slapstick comedy after he survives death defying experience. These are reasons why I don’t think we’ll be having gay stuff in marvel rivals just as we don’t have gay stuff in the current marvel rivals cinematic universe. People have brought it up time and time again but it’s kept on getting denied and honestly given the current state of US politics I doubt that’ll change soon.

Notable gay characters in Marvel or LGBT in general Mistique one of the most popular X-Men characters, Iceman one of the most popular X-Men characters Deadpool one of the most popular X-Men characters America Chavez recently having a kind of underwhelming variant revealed in the MCU Angela a character already leaked as joining Marvel rivals there's a lot more but these are the most important ones, there is also Wiccan and hulkling the children of Scarlet Witch and the Hulk respectively, Valkyrie who is also been leaked for marvle rivals Star-Lord he's already in the game is lgbtq in the comics I believe bisexual Felicia Hardy also known as the black cat and many Renditions is bisexual this is even question with the main Universe one but not confirmed, there are a lot of lgbtq characters in Marvel one already in the game at least three already leaked for the game I don't think there's going to be a problem with the game adding lgbtq characters I think the problem with it is just going to be it's not coming up because it's not relevant to the story, the most likely we will have seeing that aspect of the characters acknowledged would be like adding hulking and wiccan we're both halves of a relationship are in the game either straight or lgbtq and then you would have that reference through voice line or maybe a reference in voice lines from like a character close to them asking about the other partner but like it's not going to be an important part of the backstory because anyone who actually cares for the most part will most likely be assumed to already be familiar with the character poor competent enough to use the many resources on learning about the characters origins elsewhere similar thing from the movies with Deadpool Ryan Reynolds has actively stated he wants to explore Deadpool sexuality more in the movies like it is in the comics but just hasn't had a solid chance to because it's not been terribly relevant As for tanks for the girls I'm kind of assuming that the meaning behind that was female tanks and for that we have Emma Frost has been leaked add a handful of other female characters that have been made could fit well in that role including Angela and Phoenix
