Hello sir, Could you please tell me about the load cell that is used in the applicator/ pick-up and metering roll. How do you change it ? Regards, Saif
@sgolosio Жыл бұрын
@@saifalniamah9002 hello Saif , i dont remember exactly the model of the loadcell . Its was located between the roll and the bearing and then the operator could adjust the load on the roll . It was going directly into a converter that displayed value for the operator

@sgolosio Thank you. I think first they separate the rollers in order to dismantle the load cell. But I don't remember exactly.

Retired 12 years now, worked at Baycoat in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. We did exactly the same QC checks when I was QC Team Leader there, on virtually identical equipment

I'm in QC currently. We painted for appliances but the tests are the exact same. All except the salt spray because there is no need for it on appliances.

So with the stitch waste is a thousand feet of metal just sent for recycling from each coil?
@joneal02844 жыл бұрын
Stitch waste is typically less than about 50-75 feet per coil (combined head and tail), and is sent for recycling after removing from the coil.
@MrJunior820063 жыл бұрын
@@joneal0284 this is true. I work in the Cambridge, Ohio metal coaters plant, formerly Centria. There is less than 100 feet of scrap combined on the lead and tail during the stitch or what we call the splicing process. Unless of course there is a defect in the metal like bad edges or dents, which are fairly common especially in the .019 62.5” aluminum we paint for Arconic and Alucoil. It’s common to see metal banding dents on the leads of coils in any of the steel and galvanized/galvalum also.

Hi, I'm in North Carolina. My husband wanted to know is it? Good for them to take the old roof out before they put the metal roof in. Because he got an estimate and the guy said he could put the better roof right over the old roof. Is that true?

on the business end ,these coil coaters dont own the steel coil...The customer hires this painting done then furnishes coil that is suitable for what they are needing.There is a coil coater in chicago that recieves monster eye to the sky coils ...2 coils per trailer...60,000 lbs each! This 120,000 lb.load is only hauled 5 miles..and is only allowed by the DOT on a special permit..This coil coating industry,like so much american ingenuitity,took a hundred years of mechanical evolution to get here..Im still amazed these monster production facilities get built at all.
