as far as people complaining in the past about how CATA changed the world. But now are saying they are liking the new zones or have never seen the new zones b4. I have to ask HOW? did you not level a new character for 15 years? how can anyone that played beyond cata not have seen the zone changes?

I don't think I leveled anything in cata zones in 15 years except for old Silvermoon and maybe goblin, and worgen zones, both I did when they came out, and only once, so ifs possible, but I also don't hate cata zones

I play on st deck docked and at peek hours I can't log in on Catta I have to log into sod until server slows down? Then it let's me log in it's weird can kog into sod or retail but not catta? Even lowered sttings.

There still feels like a bit of a disconnect from the sort of, higher end, members of the community and the general. Scotte has kind of hit that spot now where he sees the reality. Classic is just not meant for the more "hardcore". You may want it to be, but its not what the average players want and its really not what the classic team is aiming for. Its become evident in SoD, which is done by the same team mostly as this Cata team. This whole xpac in accelerated cadence. In a little over a month, there is already going to be catch-up dungeons. It feels like the classic team is still following the SoD feel and making it so you can just play more alts to stay engaged with the game. People may not like it, but it just has that feeling. I watched some of these streams that they did and its not a fair measure of raid difficulty when your raid is in 359 gear doing Normals. And yes, it did happen. Then wiping on normal Nef several times but saying that its all "falling over" while you are being raid lead move by move, by people who have done the raids dozens upon dozens of times. This is not a realistic scenario for 99.9% of the base. I would guess that Bliz wants to retain players while they speed through Cata and onto MoP. If the log numbers are correct, they have lost a good chunk of the SoD raiding base already. Raids were "too hard", or at least the initial perception of Sunken Temple was, and it caused a very over the top nerf of the raid. If its too hard people will quit. It it's too easy, people will quit as well. It's not an easy sweet spot to find.

The Classic progression servers should be for whoever wants to replay the old games how they were back then, it's that simple. There's SoD and seasonal content if they want to experiment.

Looms were never intended to get to max level in any expansion. They were always intended for catch up for past content.

I was dooming so hard about Hunter, so I was pleasantly surprised when I raided on mine and my DPS wasn't too bad. Yes I was fourth consistently - but there was only 10-20% difference between me and the top damage dealers on most fights. Not too shabby for a class that is lacking a lot of its toolkit at 80. Completely different playstyle now though, its taking some getting used to!

Also I think the Cata loot system is fine. However I do think that during prepatch they should up the loot drops - maybe even have 10 man drop one 25 man item. The content is faceroll, we just want to kit out new characters or get some upgrades if we're stuck doing 10 man. But its fine either way.

love these discussions but pls fact check your dragonsoul knowledge there are some false conclusions here. 1.gear: normal: 397/403(Spine/madness) heroic: 410/416(spine/madness) 2. You can't buy tier pieces for valor at Dragonsoul. You just get them from the bosses. Also the idea of removing the valor cap is no bad idea BUT 25man bosses actually give more VP than 10man so you would rabbithole everyone into 25 again. But they could just change that aswell tbh ^^

I know it is lot of work, but I would welcome introducing Mythic difficulty for Cata with prenerf difficulty while Heroic can be postnerf. And have some small reward for Mythic raiders, something like +4 item level for items.

Lol why is raid logging fine sometimes when there was a change they didnt like and TOGC logging would be fine compared to Ulduar content staying relevant for something to do, and other times theres nothing to do cause youre just raid logging and its bad? Lmao i dont get the direction of some arguments sometimes. Restricting players through items or making some more powerful progression items for a bit increased chance to clear for no lifers doesnt matter to those who can wish wash on what they think they need. Dont take the better items if you want to progress at pre nerf. Idk

Cataclysm leveling is too easy and boring. I've played on and off since Wotlk back in 2010, Cataclysm was fun to me back then when I was 16 but it seems to easy now. I got a friend to play WoW retail and he and I both thought the leveling was extremely boring. I told him to try Wotlk Classic and he and I leveled to 20 and loved it. We then played in the Cata pre patch and leveled to 25 but were bored of it about an hour in after we realized we could solo elite mobs and killed multiple things in a few seconds.

most guilds did hard mode Mimron because they needed to, to get to algolon. After that, MOST guilds didn't do the hardmode mimron again. EVen though, there was BIS gear from that boss. So if guilds are not going to do a challenge for BIS gear, they will definitely not do it for transmog rewards.

"If you want heroic gear, go do GDKP and be absolute dog shit". this is absolutely false. This is the EXACT argument that ppl use to make gdkp look bad. If a "dog shit player" is capable of getting loot in a gdkp, they are GOOD enough to be in a NON gdkp raid and get the same exact loot for doing the SAME EXACT thing. If you think that every hardmode guild is 100% elite players, you are kidding yourself. There are BAD players in guilds that do heroics. And they get gear handed to them. GDKP or NON GDKP. Every player has to kill the boss to get loot. Who cares if the guild leader hands gear to his "dog shit" buddy, or if the "dog shit " buddy, bid high enough to get the gear. it is no different.

I want easier content. I’m 47 and have 3 kids and do lot of traveling. I want to pop in and kill bosses and get loot , drink beers with discord buds , level alts and do real life content. I have already killed these bosses back in original. My time ok game is less now and all of my old friends don’t play anymore which are way better players than guild I’m in now. We do content then check out and play other games and level alts. This is what classic should be. You want hard content then play retail or classic private. Rest of us have real life and families
