The resurrected Christ, His new glorified body, I cannot explain the details of, yet I believe, He rose bodily, as well as offers to us His body and blood, which I cannot explain, but believe. Ty Fr Peter.

@@lolTakoz god bless you and Lord, have mercy, I say this to you with my limited understanding, I ask you have you been baptized already? The creed states the belief in one baptism for the remission of sins.

@@totesmuhgoats4287 i’ve gotten baptized 2 times from the catholic church, one when i had a near death experience as a newborn so they performed a emergency baptism and when i was 3 years old i “officially” got baptized. but yet i still desire the baptism in the holy orthodox church, it’s like I NEED it.

A sacrifice with the shedding of blood
@robertsirico3670
@robertsirico3670 3 сағат бұрын
“Unbloody” is the better English translation. “Bloodless” literally means without blood. Unbloody means “not bloody”, which intends there is blood that is not visible. So… The Unbloody sacrifice is that which is mystically bloody. Kudos to the old Latin Catholics who way back before the Novus Ordo Vernacular, produced very good English translations of the Latin Missal so laymen could understand the Latin in the Mass. We orthodox have done a great job of holding on to the ancient liturgies but not so great at English translations. You don’t get the sense of it until you take koine Greek and Slavonic seminary courses with linguists and analyze the texts to see the problems associated with English language translations. It is incalculably difficult to render meaning in a less precise language than the primary. Greek has vastly more nuance than English… the gloss is acceptable for generalization, but not for specification.

Why is the Blood separate from the Body? I mean, when someone is dead we don't see blood. We just see a corpse.

But Eucharist is not Body and a Blood of a corpse... Where did you get idea in the first place...? It is living Body and Blood of the Lord. He is not dead. He is living God.

@@butterflybeatles That is Latin heretical thinking. They do not administer Blood to the faithful for the same reason you are promoting here. Read the Bible and note that Lord gave Body and Blood - both elements to the Apostles.

the post resurrection body and blood of Christ is the same a His pre resurrection body and blood His resurrection was and is PHYSICAL but now He is operating more rom His divine nature than His human nature o is infinite as well as human ergo finite. ARE YOU DENYING CHRIST'S PHYSICAL RESURRECTION? IT SOUNDS LIKE IT.

Humbly, as I have heard it, the post-resurrectional body and its functions/compositions differ from the biological body. You will be resurrected physically, but you won’t eat, you will not need to urinate or have bowel movements, you will be transfigured, it will be you, physically, but your earthly body changes constantly. As an example consider, God forbid, you were eaten by a cannibal, and then this cannibal repents and comes to Christ. Your earthly body became a part of his earthly body but now you are both welcomed into Abraham’s bosom and are resurrected in the flesh, how does your original body become whole again when it is a part of his body now? You will both be resurrected, fully, but in a “new” body, new physically, united with your soul.
