How is The Makita 18v Brushless (XAG03) Angle Grinder Holding Up

Like the title says this is model XAG03 , they don't make this particular model anymore. But I'm willing to bet the XAG04 is just as good ..if not exactly the same...

As a welder, I have three of these. I have been using and abusing them for over three years with no problems. I have tried them all, and Makita makes the best grinders hands down!

Boss!! Supp dude happy Father’s Day. I think I got my Makita grinder it in 2018. Same one. Use it all the time! Just like all of my Makita tools, I love it. It’s funny you mentioned the Milwaukee grinder. I had to use my work partners M18 Fuel grinder recently on the job and I was NOT a fan of it. As much as I love Milwaukee tools, many of them are klunky feeling compared to Makita. But that’s why we’re in all of the brands right Boss? Gotta have that variety. Peace ✌️

I picked up the xag04 for well under 100 with one of your famous Christmas hacks a few years ago. It has a great quality feel and works awesome for quick light grinding or cuts. I still can’t quite adjust to the slide switch though. Was using paddle switch grinders since I was a kid but I couldn’t pass it up for the price.

This is one where I’ve owned and used up most of the grinders out there. The Milwaukee 4.5 is kind of a lame duck, the 6” Milwaukee is very good. I have a few of the x lock makitas and I find myself reaching for them the most often, the ergonomics are the best Imo and they are quiet and have plenty of power

Makita makes best angle grinders. This includes corded. They are quieter and feel better then Milwaukee

The Makita is by far the most powerful and reliable 4-5inch grinders out there Milwaukee’s grinder is absolutely the worst on performance If your gonna by a grinder BUY MAKITA

I have the 04 it’s served me well for around 3 years now. Cut stone brick steel you name it compared it to the Milwaukee at work I will keep my makita.

Yea like I said not only performance wise , but usability wise ...that being said the Milwaukee will get the job done ..but don't see any advantages over the makita except for warranty...but getting over 5 years of use out of makita is almost guaranteed
