There's can be a multiple reasons for this person to be that rich: 1)Exploiting as you said 2) Buying diamonds in game(but that will cost a LOT) 3) Farming diamonds (and that needs a lot of time) 4) Or buying halos/dims on ebay or whatever(most possibly)

5) profit trading best example would be buying val20 for 3.3m, val20 rises a bit to 3.5m trade for val21, val20 drops back down, val21 rises to 3.7m, trade val21 for val20 and 400k you're back where you started, but with 400k extra diamonds eventually you'll be able to buy more halos with the extra diamonds and do this at even higher rates because you'll have more halos that keep constantly switching with each other
