I can almost see this as having had a previous owner who probably had a bad accident with the GBC and repaired it with only what they had. It would be nice to know the history of it.

Have you noticed any drop in subscriber count since this incredible pivot to classic gaming restoration/tinkering from film making? My guess would be no, due to the broad appeal of classic gaming. Either way, you're pulling it off. Good job.

Looks like it was sold in a 3rd world country, and maybe broke? The owner used what they had on hand to repair it? Reminds me of the KZbin videos you see that are from the Philippines and they had some old tech and repurposed it with random parts they had laying around... Happy Halloween!
