wow, haven’t been to Kharkov since 2001, that was the only time I was there after we had left in 1996. As a kid I actually experienced the 90s, and they were not as fun as people remember them now, I mean I am also nostalgic a little bit, but these were really hard times for my parents and generally the average people in that area. I am kind of stunned what the city has become. Would be happy to visit, but am a bit cautious since I am - formally - still a Ukrainian citizen, though never actually posessed a Ukrainian passport. Thus, in case of any trouble or any flare up of the war issue, the German embassy, though I am a German citizen, would not grant me any assistance. For the Germans I am a Ukrainian citizen once I enter Ukrainian territory. Well, still hope to visit some time… Thanks for the video Johnny! take care!

Anyone in Ukraine who thinks Indian driving is bad should check out Georgia... Also, "authentic" Indian food is spicy (as in cloves, cardamom, cumin...) but almost never hot. "Hot" Indian food - like using lots of chile and the very adoption of the word "curry" - is in many cases just a British colonial hangover. Like Ukraine, it's unfortunate what a poor job India has done marketing itself to the rest of the world. But perhaps that too is beginning to change.
@David-ck3gv3 жыл бұрын
Sad when people get upset about traditions being changed. India is what it is today, and what it is today is a country that has been exposed to trade of peppers (which are a new world crop) for several hundred years and gave developed dishes to include the delicious and healthy fruit. Also Britain did not introduce peppers to India; I believe that was Portugal.
@JohnnyFD3 жыл бұрын
I've been to Georgia, and the driving there isn't that bad, especially in Tbilisi. Indian food has been spicy since the 15th century. "Curry" is a British term, they called it "Gravy" before that.
