Thank you Pete for sharing ❤ It’s great to have a passion for something and to be dedicated to it, like disc golf or board games. But when it becomes an obsession, this can become toxic. This topic that you brought reminds me of the “lost souls” in the Pixar movie “Soul”. They are those souls which become monsters by being obsessed with what they do, the opposite of “being in the zone”. “Being in the zone” and “being obsessed” are opposite states of mind but it doesn’t take much to fall in the dark side, like Jedis who turn Siths.

A few years back when I was running marathons I took the time to work on my mental game. The benefit of having a good mental health hygiene is the positivity it brings to the rest of our lives. Great topic. Thanks for the content.

If you’re interested…. I’m exploring the benefits of visualization in disc golf. What started me on this path was Tom Amberry, guiness world record holder for consecutive basketball free throws. Ton of material on KZbin. Cheers 😊
