Thank you for doing this chemo series. I was with my mom during months of IV chemo (she had a port placed) but I’ve never seen a cancer journey that follows oral chemo. I think there is a preconceived notion that chemo in a pill is somehow “easier” than traditional chemotherapy. I must admit I myself am guilty of this but your story has showed me how much chemo sucks in ALL forms. Hugs and best of luck on your continued journey.
@PalisBee7 жыл бұрын
H K interesting point. I would always asume IV anything would be more intense and aggressive but it isn't always that way. ✌
@strwberipunkin7 жыл бұрын
I guess the IV is "faster" to hit your system. No matter what form it is aggressive and invasive as all hell. I hope you're doing well.
@sssophie92927 жыл бұрын
H K I didn't know you could have chemo in pill form, and stay at home rather than hospital. So she's certainly opened my eyes! All chemo is very tough but hopefully so very worth it
@MsLilacLover17 жыл бұрын
H K on my Moms 2nd chemo (she had a port) she had an allergic reaction. Swollen tongue, couldn't breathe well. So they took her off her chemo and put her on pills, they were much easier on her (she could drink and eat cold things again plus breathe cold air and touch cold liquids) but she had to be on them for 4 more months than she would have been on the liquid.
@sarahbeackley41347 жыл бұрын
H K my mom tried oral chemo and it did not work so she had to go back to the IV but that was back in the late 90s so im sure drugs have come a long way. ☺

I don’t know that I can say I “enjoyed” watching your vlogs because it feels wrong to say I enjoyed seeing you go through chemo - but it has absolutely been very interesting and I want to thank you for sharing this experience with us. I think you are so strong and amazing for filming, editing, and posting each of these videos while also feeling terrible because of the chemo. I’m so glad you’re finished with this round so you can get to feeling better again!

You, my dear Courtney has been a beacon of light and shown a side of cancer that people who do not have it know or see.You were a trooper and your strength shown through every day, even on your most sickest days. THANK YOU for taking us on this journey with you. Your MOM is EVERYTHING!! Her strength is felt through and through!

I can’t say I enjoyed it. It was really hard to see you feeling so terrible. But next time try to remind yourself that you feel ok the first two days, and only feel really terrible for 3 days. It may make it easier for you mentally knowing the first 2 weren’t going to be so hard. Also huge props to your mom! Boy did you get so lucky getting the mom you did!! It’s so obvious how much she loves you! And she’s so strong! And even vlogged for you when you were down for the count! Please give her a giant hug from me. Then ask her to give YOU a giant hug from me too. Hopefully by tomorrow you’ll be back to your bubbly self! Xoxoxo

Just want to thank you sooo much for sharing!!!!! I watched my dad do chemo (intravenously) but he always acted like he was fine, and now he is getting radiation ...... he is a strong man and does not like to show his emotions, so it is so nice to see you showing the pain and emotion you felt, gives me a better idea of what he might be feeling and not expressing. I myself have to be tough for him, and I often hold back tears during doctors appointments, so crying with you has been therapeutic!! wishing you much luck in your health journey !!!
