Even though I knew all of the mechanics I still read the information left behind in the tutorial segment just in case. Nothing kills you faster in a souls-borne game than overconfidence.

But funnily enough after sitting down and playing the dark souls trilogy I got a lot more experience on most of the mechanics that blood-borne then just clicked especially when compared to dark souls three a lot of the same be aggressive mentality carries over into the Lovecraft game.

I don't own a next gen console, only a ps3 and my old laptop, So the only ones I've beaten were DeS, DS1 and I'm on my way through DS2. DS2 is actually harder than I thought, I'm getting destroyed by the confusing i-frames, hordes of enemies that simply doesn't separate and gangbang me, new mechanics I don't get, etc. But the good thing is that eventually enemies die for sure and the boss are quite easy so far

Divinity and Dragon Age on nightmare with all trials on is far harder than Souls. I beat all of them 100%. Outside the gimmick deaths Souls really isnt hard at all and I never understood the reputation. I can name several games that are harder than beating all of Souls with nothing more than a broken sword. It is definitely my favorite games so don't take it the wrong way

I used be really good at metal gear rising, beyonetta, devil may cry etc. And I thought of picking up the dark souls and thought, "I've beaten all these games in the highest difficulty. My first time playing souls game was slightly opposite... My friend told me i should play one of these, he also gave me a warning that those are most difficult games ever made. So once i've started playing i expected it to be incredibly hard. It was DarkSouls 1, and there was that first boss. At first encounter with him, i had only broken half of the sword, and the trick was, to just run past him, return with a proper weapon and attack with big blow from the above. I didn't do that, instead i was just smashing that fucker with that half of sword for a 10 min to take him one third of his HP!(on my best attempt). I was very excited thinking to myself: Woah! this is the shit! This is really difficult, but it is possible. all i need to do now, is to be perfect for half an hour, not making single mistake and i'm home... Around 20th attempt, my enthusiasm began to fade, doubts kicked off in my head, i started to think, maybe i can't do it, maybe i'm just useless, disgusting piece of shit, incapalbe of playing proper game, ...or maybe.. perhaps there is another way to do it. so i started to look around, and i've finally found that stupid messege on the floor that said: "Run!". And that was it, i've returned with an nice shiny Axe, smashed that cocks skull with a beautifull aerial bomb taking half of his life, then finished him off with couple swings - job done. It was wonderfull, intense experience, and that day i fell in love with Souls games. I still play it. I scream, i shout, i curse, i smash pads into pieces, but i still play it, and i will always be playing it. Amen

Just when you think your worth is gone, you beat that boss on the 134th try. The euphoria rocket ship sends you to the moon in moments. Cheering, and nearly breaking your arm patting yourself on the back. Then, the second phase begins.
