Need your technical expertise. I have a small extruder and the entire barrel moves in a circular pattern maybe 1-2mm or so - which makes it very difficult to maintain tolerances on the product extruded. I thought it was due to a screw that was broken and repaired and assumed might not be 100% straight, but the same thing happens also with a new screw... what could be the cause? The motor and the gear box? A bent shaft that connects to the screw? Maybe the extruded not being level properly on a hard surface (it is on a wooden pallet)? A bent or worn out barrel?

The plastic is not even that hot, I have done it for a decade that way. Some setups you have no choice but to use your hands and you need the dexterity of feeding it threw small holes

I did work at a place that does this and I fucking hated it!! Long days on your feet and barely enough time to breathe in between fast moving spools.
