Fun and true bee fact: before beekeepers figured out how to stop the queen from getting into the honeycombs, many of those honey cells would in fact contain developing bee larvae. To extract the honey, the entire comb would just be mashed and strained, larvae and all. Traditional honey isn't vegetarian.

True fact! The "bees wax lining" at 2:55 is a man made kind of scaffolding. Normally bees make the honeycomb a certain size, *the correct size*. People sometimes make the scaffold a little bigger than it should be in an attempt to get more honey. Consequently the extra room in the comb allows parasites to live on the young bees. This is causing colonies to fail and could lead to extinction of Honey Bees.

Its sad that they do actually mix cron syrup into honey a lot of the time and sometimes just outright flavour it as honey. I'm lucky enough to have an uncle who owns a local honey farm and the only additives they put in are when they make flavored honey candy sticks (the rootbeer ones are great) or when they make honey butter (creaned honey with a bit of butter and either orange zest or cinnamon).
