I am so impressed with this concept first. Secondly, that it is a Toyota vehicle that is offering this to care givers and their clients, and family members. I am very much interested in purchasing this to accommodate my sister and from Drs. appointments and to church services. Our first trip with public transport was a horrible experience. I want to be able to transport her myself. You will be hearing from me very soon. God bless Toyota VMI!

Can it go over speed bumps without bottoming out and scraping the bottom of the lowered floor? Will it get stuck in a few inches of hard-packed snow?
@SuperiorVanMobility2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Victor. A standard speed bump is 3 to 6-inches in height. Most lowered floor minivans have a ground clearance of around 5.5 inches. The 5.5 inches is usually enough to clear most speed bumps since most are not more than 4 or 5 inches. Traveling slowly over most keeps from scraping the bottom of the vehicle. However, there are always those few that are oversized and I understand your concern. I can't honestly say I've heard of anyone having issues from snow depth. Snow is much more forgiving than a speed bump, but I wouldn't recommend driving any vehicle in snow deep enough to cause concern. I wish I had a better answer.

Are the same factory rear springs used on a 2008 town&country van on the kneel conversion system
@SuperiorVanMobility10 ай бұрын
That vehicle uses an aftermarket spring system. Part number PP9632. We have these at $281.68 each plus shipping if you need a set.

are the same factory rear springs used on conversion , and also need codes
@SuperiorVanMobility10 ай бұрын
It depends on the year and make of the chassis. Some of the older Dodge Caravans did use factory springs, but most of the others did not.

Are the rear seats easily removed and re-installed by the driver when we need to have more space to transport lumbers/dry walls?
@SuperiorVanMobility3 жыл бұрын
No, on side-entry vehicle conversions, the rear (3rd row) seats are not removable. However, some models do have seats that fold flat. Rear-entry models do not come with 3rd row seats as standard equipment. They only have the two center flip-n-fold seats, but there is a 3rd row flip-n-fold option.

Where do you get these things repaired and do they have a warranty? If so, how long? Are they expensive to repair and do most Canadian cities have a place to repair them in short time or does the user have to drive to another city? Can you show users getting in and out on one? What if you already have a number of gadgets in your vehicle so whan you turn it on it already says high voltage dor a second or two? Can people increase the voltage handling? If so, how? My cameras in Toyota RAV4 get pretty hot. Is there a safety latch for the scooter? What is the max length, height and width of the biggest scooter permitted? Does the user have to bend down in order to secure or unsecure any security latches? Looks like people can just drive into the car and then get behind the wheel with the same wheelchair. Is that true? What do these cost to the nearest $500 Cdn? Are there any other charges added?

You can have any chassis related repairs on your wheelchair conversion van repaired at you local dealer, all conversion related repairs can be repaired at you local mobility dealer. The warranty on new vehicles is 3 years/36,000 miles, but there are also extended service plans available that can increase the length of your warranty. Repairs for some parts are higher that others, just like any other vehicle and I would suggest a Vehicle Service Contract that would help with repairs after the warranty period. To learn more about any differences between U.S. and Canadian dealers, please reach out to Vantagemobility.com or BraunAbility.com. Both have dealer locations in both countries and can assist you further with the differences if any. To see more usability of the wheelchair conversion van, please review the additional videos on our channel. We have numerous videos showing the use and function of various mobility vans.

I bought a 2007 Odyssey VMI van and right away found 3 major negatives. 1.The drivers seat is installed too high even at the lowest setting. Only a 6' male can reach the pedal with toe stretched forward, the front of seat gets under my knee and prevents me from pushing the brake down. 2. The suspension is much rougher than regular Odyssey and feels like Dodge trucks, the rear rattles from hard shocks. 3. Driver seat does not turn making it impractical for wheelchair user transfering to seat without removing passenger chair. I only liked the infloor ramp and hidden spare tire. Overall I'd give a grade C- to your 2007 model. A smart company would use a small, fast car as the base, something like a larger Smartcar with rear-ramp. We don't need $60,000 livingrooms on wheels.

Hesam0000 Sounds like you should have spent more time with the vehicle before committing. Pricey lesson. Thanks for sharing your experience.

@@alsuth5435 , how do you spend more time with a specialized vehicle ramp without first buying it? Looks like a really great ramp and very exciting but I could inagine it being quite noisy and rattling after awhile.

I use a Bruno Mdl. 4200 rear mounted hoist mounted in a std. odyssey. Can’t be beat. Hoist was pricey but I saved buying used on the front end. Thanks to my brother Bob for being a blessing and able to drive down to Columbia, SC to get it.
