Some questions I have to understand the project better: 1) How long do these off-plan buildings generally take to make? Reason for asking: a) To know how long it will take to own a physical asset. b) To know how long you will be without rent for. 2) Will these properties be freehold or leasehold? If leasehold, how long do the lease last? And how much does renewing a lease cost? 3) How does the visa work? How long does the visa last? Who can we sponsor? Does it cost to sponsor? Other considerations: - Education and medical is very expensive in the UAE. You can easily be looking at £15k per child with regards to education. - Paying back will be very expensive. If you purchase a £200k property and make a down payment of £30k with a 7 year contract. You can be looking at paying monthly: £2k

Whilst education and healthcare is a cost to factor in, remember you will save a lot on income tax

Interesting will watch this. I've been in Dubai for the past 5 years.. prices are looking close to bubble territory at the moment. Some places have doubled in the past 12 months

Theres some hadith speaking about not buying something thats not built yet as it doesnt have an owner , so not off plan. Is there anyway to buy already built properties ?

Is this realistic for someone with 20k saved and a view to renting to the market immediately after handover?
@kaya_ismail Жыл бұрын
A 20-25k (GBP) downpayment is needed, then you’ll have monthly/quarterly payments.

Hmm but you can't actually *own* the property in Dubai, only the local emirati arabs will actually own the property/land forever
@kaya_ismail Жыл бұрын
Not true bro, you can own property in Dubai, freehold, just like in the UK.

What freehold means ? Is it like the person own it but when the person passe away the property doesn’t go to his family ?
@kaya_ismail Жыл бұрын
@@asselpops5377 No, freehold is the standard land/home ownership model that we’re all familiar with. It can be inherited.
