I really enjoy WLL videos that explain how these machines work Maybe you could do a video on the new instant heat boilers at some point Thanks

Hi Ardy, Thanks for the comment. Are you referring to thermoblock boilers? They heat water on demand but have been round for awhile. I know Breville makes a rather unique instant heat boiler. Marc

@@Wholelattelovepage Well, I was sort of talking about the challenges and evolution of this technology Apparently Victoria Arduino Eagle one has come up with a new version of a heat exchanger which lets them have improbably small boilers in a commercial machine Over all, I think few of us think about the challenges of maintaining a stable temperature. For instance… i have a Silvia with a tiny boiler and pid… and a relatively cold room. When I turn in the brew switch… it is a bit shocking how quickly boiler temp drops because of the new cold water refilling the boiler. And with this old machine… if the heating element is off…. The heating element only slowly starts reheating the boiler water. My point. Guess is that maintaining and delivering stable temp water is a challenge that seams a lot easier than it is in practice I think it is interesting…. But maybe not worth a video .

Could you equip a joystick style valve in a machine such as a Profitec 500?
@Wholelattelovepage

Hi P, Thanks for the question. Yes, ECM joystick valves can be mounted on Profitec Pro 500, 700, 800.

Very helpful..I wish you covered the Rocket as well. I wonder if there are better professional valves that can be swapped out in an upgrade.

Hey Marc. I see in another comment that you mention ECM joysticks can be installed on 500, 700, 800. How about the 600? I reached out to WLL support, and the rep didn't seem to have the most knowledge on this particular subject. But I'd like to swap out the standard Pro 600 Valves with joysticks. Who could I talk to from WLL that could get me set up with the particular ECM parts I'd need. Based on this video, I'd imagine it's just a sraight swap to disconnect the water line from the back of the valve assemblies, and throw the ECM version on there.

Thanks for the informative video. My question is that some coffee lovers has the statement of not using steam boiler hot water for Americano or long black and you shouldn’t drink?? Is that True 🤔?!
@Wholelattelovepage
@Wholelattelovepage 2 жыл бұрын
Hi MA, You are welcome. I wonder if you're hearing that because hot water out of the machine is so hot. It's very close to 212F/100C. Could easily burn you and is far too hot to experience flavor. Many coffee lovers and tasters want a beverage cooler than 150F/65C. At those temperatures one can actually taste the flavor!
@mcmxm
@mcmxm 2 жыл бұрын
@@Wholelattelovepage Thanks, I agree, the high temp won’t give great flavor but the advise is not to use it for tea even just turn off your machine and drain it to reduce scaling accumulation inside the steam boiler. Never use for any tea beverages too.

Hi, My Iberital IB7 single-head coffee machine is leaking from the steam knob. Please help me, as I haven’t found a solution yet. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi k, unfortunately I'm not familiar with that machine. In most cases leaks are caused by bad seals, gaskets in the valve and can be solved be replacing those.

Hi, I’m hesitant between getting an espresso machine with joystick design or knob design. My main concern is reliability and self service. Which would you recommend? Thx
@Wholelattelovepage
@Wholelattelovepage 9 ай бұрын
Hi c, Sprung valves operated by knob or lever are equal in reliability and self-service. Knob operated valves which are not sprung rely on user force to make a seal. They tend to wear faster if user over tightens regularly which causes the seal to wear faster.

Hot steam running through teflon is not a great thing. Rather a hot wand with rubber to protect hand than a plastic contacting the hot water.
