I figured out my drip tape and drip emitter problems long ago by myself unfortunately, this video is fantastic! This may be a new video, but I wish I found y’all years ago when I started gardening!

I love this system. It's saved me a ton of time on my tropical garden. I bought another for my vegetable gardens I just put in. Did I mention I LOVE it?

Well ok, thanks Greg! I didn't get it, and probably won't unless I see what you are talking about. But, that's ok. We aren't always supposed to understand everything! 😊

I have my system set on an auto timer for 10 zones, so essentially, I have 10 main lines. How would I use this type of system with mine? Would I have to have one set up for each line? Thank you!

No, it using water hose connections, so you can easily move to differ zones . Greg

Hey Hoss! One question: i’m not clear about the regular. If I have one installed can I simply turn on my hose -as it will regulate the pressure for me- or do I still need to mind the pressure myself? Thanks!
@gardeningwithhoss2 жыл бұрын
You will need to determine what pressure you have. Depending on the pressure, you may need a pressure regulator. The Filter Regulator Combo has everything needed to go between the water source and mainline tubing in a drip tape irrigation system. Easily attach the swivel end to a faucet or 3/4″ water hose. Attach the other end to Mainline Tubing to begin your branching drip tape system. We pre-assemble these for your convenience with Teflon pipe tape to secure all connections. hosstools.com/product/filter-regulator-combo/

So if I understand correctly and my math is correct....White disk for 500ft to 250ft, Black disk for 250 to 125, and Red for 125 down to roughly a little more than 30 ft of drip tape. Anything over 500ft, don't use any disk. Is that a correct statement? Thanks!
@gardeningwithhoss2 жыл бұрын
The flow disk are for systems with less than 120 gallons per hour water flow. Drip systems with less than 120 gallons per hour (GPH) water flow may require a Flo-Disc in order to inject the solution into the drip system. There are three discs provided for these conditions. Important: You must have colored fertilizer in the injection tank or food dye to adjust the system. Let the system run for a few minutes to make sure the fertilizer is not flowing before installing or changing the Flo Disc. If there is no color in the clear tube, the system is not flowing, and a more restrictive Flo-Disc is required for operation. White Flo-Disc 120 to 60 gph Black Flo-Disc 60 to 30 gph Red Flo-Disc 30 to 7.5 gph

Thanks and yes I would agree with you, if your using Hoss drip tape that is. I was trying to figure out what would be the shortest run of drip tape and come up with a little over 30 ft too.

Is it doable to have this size tank for a 3000-square-foot garden? I have 200' rows. Thank you HOSS.
@gardeningwithhoss2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. It will work great for that. Greg
@brad08052 жыл бұрын
How would you connect another mainline at 200' and 300' mark? Would you just figure eight only one side of the initial mainline, and snake the other side to the 200' mark and make a row, and the same with the 300' row? All would be connected by one faucet connection?
@gardeningwithhoss2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that would be possible. Make sure you have enough water (gallons per minute) to supply it all.
@brad08052 жыл бұрын
@@gardeningwithhoss I'm getting 7.4 gpm. I'm at 90 psi though, so I am going to use a pressure reducer to 25 psi.

Is that filter/regulator combo at all neccessary if I’m not running drip tape, but instead running 1/4” irrigation line to flower window boxes with 1/2 GPH drip emitters?

The regulator is necessary. Greg

Can the flo-disc be changed out easily? I have two zones that require switching between Black and White. Thank you for the video!
@gardeningwithhoss2 жыл бұрын
Very easy
@LoveTractorFarm2 жыл бұрын
So what are your options if you have higher than 8gpm or higher than 50psi?
@gardeningwithhoss2 жыл бұрын
If you have over 50 psi you need a pressure reducer. If you have over 8 gpm you will need to restrict the flow by turning it down.

so why only 100 foot. Could you run say 2 200 foot lines on one zone ?
@gardeningwithhoss2 жыл бұрын
Row length - Our Drip Tape can be used on a maximum row length of 100 ft. at 12 psi. We don’t recommend using on rows longer than 100 feet. If rows are too long, water will not be equally distributed throughout the Drip Tape along the row. Row number - With a flow rate of 5 gallons per minute, our Drip Tape can support 1,250 feet of Drip Tape. That’s the equivalent of 30 rows that are 40 feet long. To calculate how much Drip Tape your system can support, first calculate your flow rate based on the example above. Then divide your flow rate by 5 and multiply that number times 1,250 ft. For example, if your flow rate is 8 gallons per minute, the maximum length of tape your system can support is 2,000 ft. because: (8 gal/min) / (5 gal/min) x 1,250 ft. = 2,000 ft..
