The topper track is a type of steel track and not wood. That is why it can do inversions. It is good that they appeared to have ditched the topper track for the I-Box track design. The topper track is just trying to desperately be some thing it isn't. The topper track is two box shaped steel tracks supported by laminated wood sandwiched between the perpendicular steal beams and the steel track. The wood serve no other purpose than to be a PR trick. It gives the illusion that the track is made out of wood, but it isn't. The sandwiched wood doesn't even act as any support when the train is hanging upside down. RMC never built the first wooden coaster with inversions, Gravity Group did.

Yes, I thought the video was excellent in most aspects, but the narrator sounds tranquilized, as if he's murmuring while half-asleep. This makes a lot of the info lost on me as I can't hear it. Also, if you're going for such a polished look, why wouldn't you bother to proofread the titles/captions on screen? But, again, other than that, this is a great vid. I subbed.

It's not the volume of the voice per se, imo; it's the murmuring, subdued quality of the narrative. He doesn't need to shout and over-emote, but he does need to project more energy and clarity. (But as I've already said, it's a great video otherwise.)

I agree, great content but a little more annunciation. sounds like you're embarrassed somebody in the next room might think your talking to yourself. I know because I have this problem as well. I would recommend speaking with more mouth movement . It may looks silly but it should force you to concentrate on your vocal clarity and projection, and since you're simply narrating no one sees what you look like. :)

@@liabw05 well I’ve only been on one (iron rattler) and it had a very unique layout. In general all of these rides are like ultra smooth, like you glide through the track and the fact it has a lap bar helps a lot. You really have to ride one to see what’s so special.

How do they feel? I love wooden coasters and they closed down my favorite one in 2015 at Busch gardens known as gwazi but its about open back up as the tallest, fastest, and the steepest hyrbid. I know it will be smoother but i hope it still has a little bit of that wooden coastet feel. I seem to like more of that harsh type coaster feel which is why wooden coasters are my favorite

RMC doesn't decide where the work. the have to be commissioned by a park. I agree that Waldameer is due for something to compliment Ravine Flyer II. (It's not that old, 2008) Or even hire Gravity Group back to add some of their new technology (millennium flyer trains and a barrel roll). The Comet is more of a historical piece serving as a family coaster. They won't (and shouldn't) touch it.The park is more of a picnic park so their main focus is family rides and water park of late.

The only one I’ve ridden is Wicked Cyclone. It is butter smooth. I don’t know how fast they claim it to be, maybe because it’s so smooth? It doesn’t feel that fast? Not to me, at least. I’d love to try steel vengeance. That sucker looks like a beast. I wish they would RMC wildcat at Lake Compounce. Just the way it is. No inversions or crazy stuff same layout. Won’t happen. Just dreaming.

I love the video, Great information and well put together! With all that being said the narration sound needs work. I only say this because i cant hear or understand most of the information i was actually drawn in to WANT to hear. The sound needs to be leveled (meaning a bit louder then the background sound) and stronger pronunciation. Could just be me being that i work in media and production. but i live the channel.

This is very informative, just would have been better if you spoke up a little more. In my area, teachers can no longer take their students to an amusement park or theme park as a field trip because it's not educational, but when you mentioned about Newton's Law, right there is SCIENCE! So, the school board should let the teachers take these field trips because rides and roller coasters are educational as well as recreational. The teachers can talk about Newton's Law and G-forces etc...and use certain rides and coasters as examples. Plus a lot of parks have education days, never been to one, but I'd imagine students learn a good bit of science.

Most Six Flags parks, at least Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, do education days. I don't remember what time of year, but probably around the end of the school year. I'm not sure where you are, but that is an option if you are near a Six Flags park that does them.

That is awesome that Six Flags parks do that. Where I am from is about 2 1/2 hours from Six Flags America and about an hour to Lakemont Park, Del Grosso's, Idlewild and Kennywood. 3+ Hours from Kings Dominion and 2 hours and 15 minutes from Hersheypark. I was ranting about it because all the 8th graders after I moved on to high school would go to Kennywood as a 8th farewell trip, so I missed it by a year and then recently they cut that out and my cousin didn't get to go which some of her friends parents are going to protest for next year with other sons/daughters and then I had mentioned for them to go to school board and tell them about education days, I know that Hersheypark has education day and I remember Kennywood did it one year, not too sure if they continued or not. Usually, they have that towards the end of the year late April, early May. I think.

sportsygirl8 you could also email Kennywood and say that you and a bunch other people are interested in coming and showing that it's educational and ask if maybe they can have a maintenance employee can do that for you. They might cause you're a big group and if you show the board how it can.be educational maybe they'll sway. You made a mistake when you showed the topper track. Not only is there a steel running plate on top, but also the piece that you showed being wood, the one that sticks out that the upstops and guides run on, is also steel. Basically you have the bottom stacks of laminated wood that are shaped like a square, then you have a steel box that is filled with grout that sticks outward for the guides and upstops to run on, and finally you have the steel running plate that takes the force of the road wheels which is on top. Look up topper track rmc and look at the images that show up and you'll see what I mean.
