Speaking on the way America has an intentional strategy to promote unhealthy eating, there was a tiktok explaining the layout of walmart. No matter which door you go through, you're either presented with the produce section or the medicine section (also where they keep the protein powder, fiber bars, etc). Since you're fresh minded, you pick up something healthy. By the time you get to the snacks however, you're overstimulated by all the sights and sounds that you're mentally weakened and "reward" yourself with something unhealthy (when 9 times out of 10 you didn't even go there for snacks).
