@Byronic19134 Жыл бұрын
It looked like Harden baited Smart into driving on that final play leading him right into a double at the rim. Harden was manipulating the Celtics all night with his cerebral approach which is something he never get's credit for. Harden also yelled at the entire Sixers team after the win when they were celebrating on the floor to get back in the locker room there is nothing to celebrate is just game 1. There is clearly a different level of focus right now from a HoFer looking for his legacy-defining run.

I think part of what is going on as well is people underestmate west cost ball and stars. The west coast for years was stupid levels of tough. There was no coasting because if you coast and you got Pop and the spurs he'd knock you out the playoffs with just some random doods. Even after he lost lendard. It's tough coaching and tough talent wise. So, when they got a look at harden playing that west coast style ball in the first early rounds of the east coast playoffs it was a culture shock.

@@aitornavarro6597 I don't think the matchup is relevant. To compare a game 7 to a game 1 makes zero sense. Harden was playing with no pressure since he can't get eliminated, they were on the road, and had the built in excuse of no Embiid. If it does go to a game 7, we'll see how well he plays.

Smart never left legal guarding position. There's nothing in the rules about "be in position, holding still before offense decides to jump into a shot", so I don't know what Coach Nick or the commentators were talking about. Smart is in legal guarding position the whole time. Legal guarding position is: feet pointed more toward the offender than away.
@Hieiman Жыл бұрын
Wrong... Maxey was already airborne while Smart was still sliding in... That's a textbook blocking foul.
@weksauce Жыл бұрын
@@Hieiman WDYM "sliding in"? Defenders moving sideways or backwards (while their feet point more toward the offender than away) have, by definition, beaten the offenders to the spot. Lol the celtics hate is real. Those Trae young stats look great until you realize his shooting splits were 41/33. The whole point of the drop coverage is to make harden and trae into tough shot makers instead of facilitating. Harden hit tough shots and now in games 2-3 where is he? Only adjustments were more Jaylen and up the pressure. Also celtics we’re winning most of the game and trying to double let guys like maxey and haris get open looks. Problem was late game execution celtics should be up 3-0
