Amazing interview with Jan " Did have a lady come from the me Association because she was actually the wife of a colleague...and she told me you will never recover and you will get used to this and I thought I don't need this person in my life and I asked her not to come back again it's really not useful having people give you messages that are going to get you stuck" -This is the problem with well-meaning academic ME/CFS practitioners and their "patient advocates" where no one is getting better. -This grassroots movement and the spread and sharing of how people recovery is amazing! Thank you Raelan for all you do! -Hopeful one day the field will start to get it.

@@gasaurus I worked with her in person some years ago. It was probably a bit different from the programme, I think I needed the human connection and she was amazing. That same approach hasn’t helped me now, I feel I still have the virus in my body reeking havoc...

@@beedenning sorry to hear about the long covid, that's what I've been dealing with since March 2020. I've been doing the mind/body/nervous system work since early on- it's somewhat helpful, but it doesn't seem to be the way out for me. Interesting that that approach isn't working for you either, as a lot of people want to say long covid is ME. I hope you return to health very soon 🙏☀️

She was also lucky to have the knowledge she did, as this helped instill her belief of recovery and how to get there. What she talks about in this interview is really thought provoking. Thank you. I really soaked up this speakers story. High resonance within me. I had a new development in my ME/CFS. TINNITUS that brought me to two appointments today with an auditory exam and then an appointment with the ear nose throat doc. Two huge kindhearted extremely knowledgeable professionals in their field validated my journey. Now tinnitus occurred right after I lost control and released anger and yelling at my husband for something I can’t even remember the trigger. After that moment the sound of loud circada sounds pounded in my head. The doc explained the science behind that occurrence manifesting into tinnitus. I said it was such a learning lesson to become mindful of my emotions and physicality. I also write my PTSD story into poetry. AGAIN THANK YOU 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Two of my poems HEART “Heart The heart of a child Needs protection from the wild. Yet it gets broken and cracked, When your wild is home grown bile, From two different types of attacks. Both fear mongering, the parent pack. I grew up thinking my father almost crossed the boundary, lived that until my 28 year, a therapist proclaimed molestation has many foundries. Sick to my core this was so difficult to hear, At 68, Found out narcissism was my mothers hate, With her ugly, judgy, accusatory words Caused me to faint. I was not worldly I was no whore, She was in her glory Attackin my heart to its core her venom spewing her made up story. What must one do to mend that shredded bleeding heart? Welcome kindness from those around you, for a start. I’m 70, both parents, now dead, I have a small tribe of kindhearted No one else is allowed in my circle to tread. To you all who bestow such heartfelt kindness to me, Thank you, For participating in my healing journey.” “Kindness Let’s not leave it behind us, A simple smile could last a day or for awhile it could stay. We know not what each person’s story may be, So let’s always be mindful to thoughtfulness so they will see, Together we gather to share Together we gather to care Together we gather to heal With all of our stories we trust to reveal Listening to one another is the truest act of loving humanity, And with an added smile we can bask in our new found sanity.” Kimi (Swanson)Minor

Cheers for the great interview. What a coincidence, Im reading her book since a few weeks. Its a realy good one. I believe totaly that if I implement all the things she is suggesting in her book, I will recover for sure. I also know that it will take time and its not gonna be a over night success story. Its defenitive not easy to do the mindfullness work. But I also know, if I not gonna do the work, I gonna be stuck for ever. So doing the work, beeing consistant and over time, I will be at the end of the tunnel. I wish everyone who is struggling with CFC or LC or other conditions, keep going, never give up, keep your head up. One day we all will be there at the brightside of our life.

Here are some of the mind - body programs that are now available for people with chronic fatigue syndrome and long COVID. They seem to work for some people with CFS and long COVID. They are using the evidence based treatment for chronic pain, called “pain reprocessing therapy“, but you apply it to your symptoms such as fatigue. You teach your brain to be less Responsive to the fatigue. It works for fatigue too! Based on neuroplasticity. Some I have looked into are as follows: CFS health, created by Toby Morrison on in Australia CFS recovery, created by a man in Vancouver, Miguel Bautista (Raelen has interviewed him) Be your own medicine, by Rebecca Tolin ANS Rewire from Dan Neufeld in Austrailia The Gupta Program They all have lots of FREE videos on line. They both have courses that you can do online

Being sea sick in bed is positional vertigo. It is very unpleasant. There are very funny exercises on youtube that can help. I don't know the english word for those little stones in the ear, but they are causing it. It happens when you change the position of your head. After some days I preferd to just wait until it goes away and stay calm. At the end it is just one new symptom. But you shouldn't drive the car for the time you have it.a
@jog52895 ай бұрын
Do you mean Benign positional vertigo (BPV)? I have this from time to time also, and it resolves on it's own, but can return when I get sinusitis. I've only experienced it since having CFS and I agree that it's most unpleasant. Apparently "it's a common disorder of the inner ear that causes vertigo and a false sense of spinning or movement triggered by certain head movements. It is also known as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). It is thought to be related to the movement of small calcium particles, called otoconia, in the inner ear."

There is no magic secret that will instantly make you well that is being hidden here, it's repetitive hard work.
