Janet's choreographer/creative director needs to go. His style has never served her well. She needs another Tina Landon or Anthony Thomas who brings in something new and shakes things up. Her talents are not being served.

Tim Rashad - Thank you! The Super Bowl may have hurt her initially, but the fact is she released a series of albums (and ESPECIALLY accompanying choreography) that were simply not her best work. And since you brought up the Super Bowl, it would be important to note that Gil was the creative director behind the whole thing. Tina Landon would have given Janet the show she deserved.

Large dance ensembles usually have strict guidelines to keep the ensemble looking cohesive. A director might look to cast entirely women, ages 18-24, 5'8"-5'10", or men, ages 24-30, 6'+. This director is saying he isn't looking for a specific look, but they'll all be competent dancers to get hired. He isn't offering a spot to any rando off the street without judging them adequately. White people wanna be oppressed sooooo bad
