Even barely following these Olympic games' coverage, apparently this subject is so divisive and unpopular in Japan, that the major sponsors decided against using their paid-for advertising opportunities. Something like that. Athletes most likely were forbidden to mingle with outsiders (e.g. a filming crew) so as not to increase their covid infection risk and not to crush out of the games as some infected athletes suffered. Quarantined athletes complained in the press. Unnecessary negative connotations everywhere, it probably would be not sensible to touch this topic at all. Moreover, apparently it takes a month or two to edit and release the day in the life footage, in several months the games frenzy (if there was any) would be over.

MOS burger is the best! I wish we still had one in Honolulu :(... we had the greatest "fast food" experience at the Mos burger Osaka location. First time being seated, pay from your seat, served while seated, condiments brought to your table and all trash removed by a server at a fast food place wth? They even had a separate smoking section, I was like WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON IN HERE?!? It was a surreal dining experience and unfortunately we will most likely never receive service like that outside of Japan. Its a MOS (must) stop while in Japan!

@@missplainjane3905 I love Japanese food... fresh sashimi, ramen, gyoza, donburi, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, gyudon, kobe beef, etc. Even the food they sell at Lawson, 7/11, FamilyMart are way more palatable than in other countries. I especially love the chicken fillet and onigiri in these convenience stores.
