Kurz's organ emulator was state of art in the late 90s-early 2000s, nowadays it's effective as well but pretty outdated. But luckily if you wish you can play virtual instruments using the K2700 as master controller, therefore you've plenty of choice (if it's no problem to play organ on weighted keys). Pianos on those synths sound always very good and balanced in the mix, as for EPs; nevertheless you have alternatives with software instruments. Orchestral are always great in Kurzweil; always been. I love their lead sounds, too. Congrats for playing style(s)!

All of them sounds rich and vibrant. My favorite is film piano. The pizzicato is surprisingly good too.

I think the biggest competition to the K2700 is the Korg Nautilus 88-key version. To make the final draw, I'd have to test out both instruments at a local dealer. The problems is, there are Nautiluses aplenty everywhere, but no K2700 to try out... :(
