Thank you for bringing up this topic, for it promotes thought which might facilitate someone’s salvation. Anyone who produces an image of Jesus violates the Commandment, ““You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above”. Anyone who attempts to describe His appearance is making an inaccurate “verbal image”, since scripture or secular history doesn’t describe how He looked. Anyone who ever produced a painting, drawing or sculpture of Him was foolish to blatantly defy God. Even possessing an image is “sharing in the guilt”, paraphrasing scripture. Even discussing the details (color) of His appearance is treading on thin ice, as it could “lead others into temptation”, the temptation of projecting onto God a false image. We can only accurately say, as general as it is, that He looked like a Hebrew. Jews were neither black nor white, but some shade in between…just like all the rest of us. The debate on His appearance is speculative folly, engaging speculative fools.

I'm white and you've just answered a question I've had for 58yrs. I went to catholic school and the nuns couldn't ever give me any answer when I put the question to them. They looked at me like I was nuts. I've always had questions about that religion being it had some rules and teachings that didnt conside with the bible. I've never considered myself superior to anyone. As I got older; common sense really kicked in as it does for most of us and I continued to question everything even up til today. In America, most Americans (since most are white) portray Jesus as white/European. Etc. Etc. In reality, we all understand that Jesus (of Nazareth) lived in today's Middle East, and likely looked accordingly. This is not a race issue as the video implies, so chill out.
